Okay, this is probably going to get me beaten to death for even asking, but:

Energy Ball states that it does 7d6 damage to ALL creatures and objects within it's area.

Does that include attended objects? It does say all. So would that a sonic energy ball pretty much a 7pp complete wipe of character gear?

Only if its attending character rolls a nat 1, as is normal for AoE effects that don't specify otherwise. :D

It can be fun when the careless sonic ball brings down walls, doors, and ceilings. Might even blow a hole in the floor, depending on where you are.

Objects tend to have more HP than player's think they might. With a 10d6-10 sonic ball you could easily blow down a human-scale wooden door, but a wall would take at least two blasts.

Assuming that wall was in perfect condition to begin with. Not all adventuring takes place in perfectly maintained modern structures.

When a structure ages, especialy a stone structure, it doesn't universaly weaken. There are a handful of small areas where the wear is worst, and the rest stays mostly as strong as it ever was. Over time more and more weakpoints appear, until the whole thing is weakened and the work weak points are actualy holes.

Even an energy ball doesn't cover a large enough area to gaurantee striking a weak point in the structure.

And wooden walls would probably have like 20 hp at most even when brand new. It's stone, earth, iron, and trees that people tend to underestimate. For the majority of a character's adventuring career, his energy balls won't be leaving very deep craters.

But yes, it is fun to remind players that they're in a town by having the roof fall in on them when they recklessly fire off an energy ball.
