The power Energy Push brings all sorts of questions to mind. I couldn't find anything addressing it elsewhere, so here goes:

What happens when the target of a energy push gets pushed through another creature's space? I know there won't be any attacks of opportunity, but does the target stop or keep going? If it stops, does it stop before or after entering the second creature's square? Does it matter whether the space is occupied by friend or foe?

Next, what happens when you energy push someone and they get pushed into a another creature's square? Does it stop before entering that space? If not, do they end up sharing the space, or does the pushed creature need to fall prone?

Also, what happens when the target is on stairs? If you're on the same elevation as the target and it has stairs down behind it, would it get pushed directly backwards, then fall at the end, or would it follow the stairs? Now, what happens when the stairs go up? Does it impact when it hits the stairs, or does it get pushed up them?

Finally, I know the target would take damage from an energy wall, but what about things like caltrops or spike stones? Would the target take damage for each square moved, or do we assume they're flying over the affected squares?

I think this boils down to one question "does the target get flung through the air or dragged along the ground?" The answer is more or less up to you and your DM to hash out.

If the target gets flung through the air;
- the target is propelled through the other creature's space, so long as the other creature doesn't entirely block that space (such as a gelatenous cube)
- the target lands prone if the space he lands is already occupied
- the target doesn't take damage from caltrops or spiked stones in the areas he's pushed over
- the target would be pushed through the air over the stairs, then fall
- the target would slam into the stairs and stop
- the target can be pushed directly up into the air, if you somehow manage to get under him

If the target get's dragged along the ground;
- the target would stop before entering the square with the other creature, unless the other creature let him through (such as if the other creature was an ally or very very small).
- the target doesn't fall prone
- the target would fall down the stair as soon he got pushed over them, and would probably fall out of line of sight that way too
- the target would get pushed painfuly and slowly up the stairs
- the target would take damage for being pushed over/onto the caltrops/spiked stones
- you can't deal lots of falling damage to the target by pushing him into the air

Which interpretation is "correct" is up to you and your DM. It's even possible that you can choose which one you want to use each time you manifest energy push. Maybe the power allows you to subtly alter it's strength, such that it can cruelly drag a creature over the ground or suddenly fling it through the air.
