| CobaltDeathWolf10-11-07, 10:55 AM | thanks for that... but actually i mean epic level prestige classes like the legendary dreadnaught, or the perfect wight. ya know, like the stuff in the epic level handbook, cuz there dont seem to be any epic level prestige classes for psonic characters... |
| Bacris10-11-07, 01:44 PM | I'm not aware of any. Have you checked the Index of 3.5 Psionics Outside the XPH? (it's linked from the Master Index sticky) |
| Sysane10-11-07, 03:55 PM | Athas.org will have an epic PrC in their soon to be released Legends of Athas source book. |
| Kaleran127710-14-07, 06:25 PM | Hallo! I do not know of any epic prestige classes for psionics, however, I do believe that psions(in particular) do not need any such thing. Trust me, a psion with 21+ levels is already a psychic-powered epic being! Anyone that can use 21 psionic power points, in one round, to augment things like mind thrust or astral construct is quite capable of dealing with most problems. Add to the mix 9th level powers like reality revision, and epic problems can be made non-problems. All in all, psions and psychic warriors are amoung the few classes that do not need any prestige classes. Thank you. |
| CobaltDeathWolf10-14-07, 10:24 PM | actually he's a wilder... ^_^; |
| vorpo10-14-07, 10:44 PM | There are no official epic classes for psionic characters. (So much love for psionics....) Even then, the only book that has PrCs that are purely epic is the Epic Level Handbook and it's 3.0. |
| CrimsonDeath10-15-07, 02:58 AM | Trust me, a psion with 21+ levels is already a psychic-powered epic being! Add to the mix 9th level powers like reality revision, and epic problems can be made non-problems. I doubt there are many Epic-level manifesters throwing around Mind Thrusts, because if they're still using Mind Thrust at level 20, they're not going to survive to go Epic. It's a level 1 power with a "Will Negates" save and an unaugmentable DC. And while Astral Constructs are awesome for much of the game, they don't have an official epic progression, so unless you house-rule one, their usefulness declines after level 17. Now, you're basically right. You have an excellent point. You just chose a poor pair of examples to illustrate it. actually he's a wilder... ^_^; I hope you took a prestiege class already. Ideally around level 7. If not, get into Anarchic Initiate ASAP, even if you have to take all eight ranks of Knowledge: The Planes cross-class. Work with the DM to create an epic progression, and keep in mind that the number of PP you lose to Psychic Enervation is based on your Wilder level, not your manifester level (and Anarchic Initiate doesn't change that aspect of the class feature). Also see if you can find some way to gain immunity to Daze. |
| Fafnir10-15-07, 08:47 AM | unaugmentable DC. Actually it can be augmented, but it's not enough to make it better than Dominate. |
| carnivore10-15-07, 09:12 AM | if you want some HomeBrew Astral constructs above 9th lvl...try these: http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=8968127&postcount=14 :D |
| CrimsonDeath10-15-07, 01:12 PM | Actually it can be augmented, but it's not enough to make it better than Dominate. That's strange... I could've sworn that Mind Thrust's augment was silent on the matter of save DCs... |
