| ElyasRavenwood01-05-08, 11:16 AM | Is there an Erudite build and optimization guide posted somewhere on the boards? thanks As a wizard advances in level, I have an idea what sort of spells the wizard should have, and how many per level in his spell book. What is your sence for a similar progression for an erudite. For a generalist Erudite, like a generalist wizard, what are a few must haves for 1st level powers, 2nd level powers etc? thanks. |

Those unique powers per day will haunt you until you hit at least mid-levels. For example, you'll benefit greatly from item creation feats. If you start at low levels, Imprint Stone is mandatory. Just consider yourself a gestalt Artificer/Wilder who chooses powers on the fly and crafts items to do his dirty work. As for power selection, just choose what any other Psion would initially (Grease, Entangling Ectoplasm, etc), then branch out into powers most would consider situationally useful (Knock, Psychoportative Shelter), and finally into powers that no normal Psion would dare take but are still useful on items or in the most outlandish situations (Float, Synesthete). Our group refers to that third category as "Erudite Powers", since they are the only class who would actually learn and use them. |
