| Rayous02-15-07, 10:25 AM | Following the description of the two feats is my question. "Fell Shot [Psionic] Prerequisite: Dex 13, Point Blank Shot, Psionic Shot, base attack bonus +5. Benefit: To use this feat, you must expend your psionic focus. You can resolve your ranged attack as a ranged touch attack. You must decide whether or not to use this feat prior to making an attack. If your attack misses, you still expend your psionic focus. Manyshot [General] Prerequisites Dex 17, Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot, base attack bonus +6 Benefit: As a standard action, you may fire two arrows at a single opponent within 30 feet. Both arrows use the same attack roll (with a -4 penalty) to determine success and deal damage normally (but see Special). For every five points of base attack bonus you have above +6, you may add one additional arrow to this attack, to a maximum of four arrows at a base attack bonus of +16. However, each arrow after the second adds a cumulative -2 penalty on the attack roll (for a total penalty of -6 for three arrows and -8 for four). Damage reduction and other resistances apply separately against each arrow fired. " Given that with manyshot you make one attack, does fell shot apply to all arrows fired with it? |
| Tempest Stormwind02-15-07, 10:48 AM | Since Fell Shot modifies one ranged attack roll, and you make one ranged attack roll with Manyshot, yes, it works. True Strike also works with Manyshot, as does Hunter's Mercy. Note that it won't work with Greater Manyshot (multiple attack rolls) or Psionic Shot (multiple damage rolls, even with Manyshot). |

Note if you take the feat Greater Manyshot you still retain the powers of Manyshot. You just get to choose with each attack do you want to make it a Greater (and thus all arrows get there own attack roll) or a old fashioned manyshot (all arrows use 1 attack roll) |

Actually, i may disagree with you here. You could still use it with greater manyshot and only apply the effect onto 1 of the attack rolls you declare before rolling(or first attack roll in the set, depending on DM call). You obviously do not use it with ALL the attack rolls. And maybe i dont know all the rules about psionic focuses, but if you have more than one psionic focus(such as if your psicrystal is holding one also or you are a psionic weapon master)... can you expend more than one focus in a round? If so- then you could use psionic shot and fell shot together by expending 2 focuses. |

The point is, you can't use the so-called "Manyshot Trick" (that is, applying an effect that normally modifies one attack to every shot) using Greater Manyshot. And maybe i dont know all the rules about psionic focuses, but if you have more than one psionic focus(such as if your psicrystal is holding one also or you are a psionic weapon master)... can you expend more than one focus in a round?
