It's not a bad item, to be sure; it lets you benefit from the same healing you've lain down on another person, three times a day. It's also cheep. But I trawl this forum, every day, and I've seen no reference to it, at all. I don't think it's really a fantastic item for most clerics, but it seems just so tidy for a Psion or a Psionic Warrior (Not as likely, on that last one) to pick this up and use it in conjunction with Empathic Transfer. Empathic Transfer, naturally, is a damn fast way to pull damage off of someone, early game, but I always feel compelled to carefully calculate averages and have a suitable layer of Vigor waiting, which makes it difficult to apply the mindful bandages when it's needed most. This thing, though, it would let a mindful Psion soak whatever feedback he encounters from his benevolent manifestation, and then gain half of what he's healed over it. P'raps it's not a magnificent concept, but it seems so perfect to me. Like I said, I haven't seen it mentioned before, so I thought I might bring it up... |

I don't have Magic Item Compendium (yet). Does it work with any healing effect, or only Conjuration(healing) spells? |
