| thepsionicbard04-18-07, 03:42 PM | om this might be a stupid question but if your playing a normaly nonpsionic race sush as human or drow are you forsed to get WILD TALENT as one of your feats inorder to play a psionic class?? or is there a way around this |
| Bacris04-18-07, 03:46 PM | No base class has entry requirements. That isn't different for psionic classes. |
| Selgard04-18-07, 04:06 PM | Forces Upon Feats. sorry.. had to. anyway, the Psionic races just have a leg-up on the rest, if they choose to pick a psionic class. They are in No way meant to imply or suggest that a "non-psionic" can't take a psionic class. There is no bar to their entry, and they get no penalty for taking the psionic classes. |
| Tempest Stormwind04-18-07, 06:07 PM | As has been said, you do not need Wild Talent to play a psionic character. It's there for people who want a touch of psionics without being a full-on psionic class. If your psionic talent manifested more powerfully, it might be represented as psionic class levels, though. I'm currently playing a halfling shaper. Yes, a stock PHB halfling. No Wild Talent needed. |
| saidin011104-19-07, 04:00 AM | yeah, it's there for pretty much two reasons, it supplies the power for the Soul Knife, and it allows characters w/o psionic class levels to take psionic feats, though personally, I find it much more efficient to take a level of a psionic class for the psionic ability, unless of course I'm trying to juggle several classes already, and the accompanying potential BAB reductions |
