Ok, so I was reading the Psionics handbook today and I was thinking
'It would be fun to make a shaper in a campaign' so I've set off to find a PbP game to join.

But thats besides the point, what caught my eye was the power Genisis.
This has to be the coolest power, and I have lots of ideas for it, both from the DM perspective and the player perspective.

I'm going to talk about my to favorite:

DM view:
An evil shaper bent on the destruction of the world has learned of the effects of Genisis if he uses it on the material plane. Simply put, he comes to the capital of a large country and creates an Anti-genisis at the very center. Said country devolves into chaos!
you can see where this is going.

Player view:
I've found a way to become a diety if the DM allows! Well, not really...but here goes!
Step 1. Player takes a feat so that he can learn mind link.
Step 2. Player casts genisis.
Step 3. Player begins taking levels in Thrallherd.
Step 4. Player ONLY has believers of a certain race, specifically a subtype.
Step 5. Play has ALL believers head to his new genisis, to live their lives and form families there.
Step 6. Said believes worship player like a god, raise their kids to do so, and belief and worship keeps passing on.
Step 7. Eventually, the Player has a large pantheon, and possibly his own clerics (although without a domain the clerics are fairly powerless).
Step 8. In order to make up for the lack of actual diety-ness, he decrees that all clerics must choose the same two domains as all others choose in his genisis.
Step 9. Eventually, s/he will reach god/ess hood.

So, any thoughts or opinions?
Any other ideas?

You might want to take those Thrallherd levels first, since you won't be learning Genesis until level 17 at the earliest.

Thats a pretty good idea.
I'll write it down for future reference.

Any chance someone of exceptional awesomeness could link to a thread that was created a while ago based around the ways one could manipulate the demiplane?

It was essentially an exploration of utilizing the bare-bones planar control of the demiplane Genesis creates to give you maximum surface area (for farming, etc), protection against incursion from enemy forces, etc.

I really should have bookmarked it, but alas...

Edit: I haven't doubleposted in years. Huh.

Ergh... I normally don't care about spelling errors since I make 'em myself all the time, but it's genesis, man. :\ Get Firefox 2 with the spellcheck.

This thread is discussing longly on the options of Genesis (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=399911&highlight=genisis).
Look at this thread (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=814446&highlight=genesis) as well.

What?
As a campaign idea, Genesis is an excellent power. Not only can that Evil Shaper start destroying cities, but he has his own Genesis-d Demiplane from which he launches his attacks!
For the "Godhood" Idea, couldn't said evil Shaper also be trying to do that?
If I was going to go about the "Godhood" plan, I'd make sure to have both Genesis and Reality Revision.

An area of antigenesis can't exceed a radius of 1-foot-per-level. If you're going to bring down a city 40 feet at a time, there are faster cheaper ways.

But are there more complete ones? (And you could Overchannel to Widen it-- now you're taking out the city 80 feet at a time!)
