I really don't know how long the ol' Expanded Psionics has been out, nor do I know if anyone has ever posted this before. Many of you have probably already noticed this, and probably think this is a lame message.

I just wanted to share my laughter.

I was building a Gestalt psion/elocater for an upcoming romp-mission, and I was reading through the D's section for powers. I raed about Deja Vu, decided it would be fun, and kept it. I continued reading. I found it again, and thought that the book was flawed- that it had copied a page or something. Page numbers were fine- Deja Vu was printed twice. Great quip. I think I remember hearing a friend mention it a looong time ago... I just wanted to share my absolute adoration for WotC.

Love.

This is covered in the FAQ at the top of the forum and was admitted to be deliberate here (http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20051104a).

Yeah there was a thread about "Deja Vu in the book twice" the day the book came out.

Then someone posted the same thread on "Deja Vu in the book twice" the same day the book came out again.

Pretty mind blowing, huh?

The real deja vu will come when the power is made into an arcane spell. It will have the same name, it will be printed twice in the same book, and have gross editting errors, like somehow managing to reference Psi(sp). It'll make you say, "Haven't I seen this kind of thing before?"

I long for the day that I trick someone into manifesting Deja Vu on themselves... :D

Couldn't you just Dominate them to pull it off?

Nothing that a nice affinity field couldn't manage. Or for an alternative, try to get two telepaths stuck in a loop manifesting it on each other. :)

The real fun comes when you put it into a trap with an automatic reset. :D

I don't even know whats real anymore. I think I've done this before...

Does anyone know what page the strangely numbered table in the Dungeon Master's Guide is on?

I'm thinking a Firestarter reference... right?

I was going for a Python episode, actually.

At one point I determined that Complete Psionic is, likely, Chaotic Evil in alignment. My rationale focuses largely on the Deja Vu writeup.

Putting it in twice was a Chaotic act.

Putting it on the same page as Death Urge? Pure Evil. :evillaugh

Yeah, I realized it probably wasn't Firestarter about 10 minutes after posting that... didn't feel like changing it.
