Hey guys I am trying to come up with a different take on the illithid slayer prc from Expanded Psionics Handbook. I have a player playing a kalshatar ranger/telepath looking to be a hunter of Inspired and the Quori that rules them. I am looking to replace a few of the class features like the 2nd level brain nausea ability and the blast feedback 10th level ability.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Lucid Dreaming (Ex): At second level, a Quori Slayer gains protection against incursions mounted from Dreamed realities on his mindscape. Through self-conditioning, he now experiences dreams, both natural and supernatural, with his perception of reality instact; abilities that emulate dream still work, but the Quori Slayer can communicate with the user of the dream effect, asking questions and offering information, as though the two were standing face to face.
If the Quori Slayer is contacted while awake, he can elect to receive his dream as a hallucination imposed over reality. He is not helpless in this state, but he can take no actions besides dismissing the dream as a free action. If the Quori Slayer had an immunity to Dreams, or was otherwise incapable of sleeping, before gaining this class feature, he becomes capable of voluntarily receiving Dreamy messages.
The Quori Slayer is now also immune to abilities that emulate Nightmare, and any harmful effects that could be prevented with an inability to dream.

Aura of Courage (Ex): At 10th level, the Quori Slayer gains Aura of Courage, which functions like the Paladin class feature of the same name. Unlike the Paladin feature, the Aura still functions when the Quori slayer is unconscious.

Decent enough?

Someone in the Eberron forums combined Slayer mechanics and Quori Mindhunter flavor.

Kalashtar don't dream. The OP was asking specifically for a Quori hunting class for a Kalashtar PC in his game.

"If the Quori Slayer had an immunity to Dreams..." etc.

So it's still useful. I like the flavor of those options, too.

Hey Eikre
Thanks for those options the Lucid dreaming is very interesting. I like the flavor of it. If anyone else has any other options I would love to hear them
