How do I get Mindlink as a Psion (Shaper) ? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-14-07, 09:24 AM I Want to get the power Mindlink (Telepath 1) with a Shaper of 5th level, to qualify for Thrallherd, is there a way to get it?

The idea is to build Bob, a Psion builder character, I will obviously need to be Shaper in order to get Psionic Fabricate (Shaper 4), but I want to be a Thrallherd to have my followers work for me, as in a construction firm, I think taking Thrallerd is better than just taking Leadership.

12-14-07, 09:33 AM Expanded knowledge (feat) is the best way to do it thought you could try researching it yourself, some disagree as to how this works since it was as clear as mud.

Expanded Knowledge is in the Expanded Psionics Handbook as well.

12-14-07, 12:28 PM I believe that hidden talent, which is not in the SRD as far as I know, would be a better plan overall if allowed ;)

12-14-07, 02:04 PM Or you could play a Kalashtar (Eberron Campaign Setting) and get it as a psi-like ability (which will still qualify you for Thrallherd, which I'm guessing is what you need Mindlink for).

I keep forgetting what page of the XPH Hidden Talent is on.

Yes, I have these memorized, despite never seeing either used in a game (even the psi-themed game I ran).
