Psi-like abilities don't use power points. Any monster with a psi-like ability will have it listed whether they're 1 or multiple times per day, or at will. And they're also automatically augmented according to the monster's manifester level.

Psi-like abilities are free in terms of number of PP/day used.
They are instead augmented for free up to max manifester level of Psi-like ability (usually listed what manifester).

Specific rules reference:

"Some psionic creatures automatically manifest powers, called psi-like abilities, without paying a power point cost."

That's the point they do not have ANY power points, unless specified in the monster's stat block, and if they do, they are listed as manifesting as an "x level Y", where X is the level, and Y is the class. In that case, they gain power points exactly as a member of that class.

It would probably help to know why these creatures with psi-like ability need power points.

Multiply their ML by the number of times per day they can manifest the power.

Of course, this only works for those with per day abilities.

Example: phthisic, ML 6
6 3/day abilities - 108 pps
2 1/day abilities - 12 pps
120 pps total

Of course, not all powers "scale" to 6 power points, so it's a quick and dirty way of doing it and, as above, doesn't work for at will abilities, since that makes them, for all intents and purposes, infinite pps.
