Alright, I'm kinda a novice player, and I think I somewhat know the psionic point system. I would just like to know how that system is broken. Please and thank you :)

It's not broken. Read the stickies (FAQ (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=638776) and Myth (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=331253)).

I would just like to know how that system is broken.

If you do not follow the rules, then it is broken.

Among the two biggest problems are limiting PP expenditure to your manifester level and keeping tract of PPs.

You should read the posts sticked to the top of the tread. You do not need to read it all, just the main points in the first couple of posts.

I'm playing my first Psion and I'm finding the PP system to be quite easy to understand ^^ >.> In no way can I see it as broken... Honestly... I started at level 1 with 6 PP... With 4 battles in the one day, I was kinda straining by the end >.> Level two, I have 13... But with new powers, I'm gonna be straining yet again. It's great. You have to really think about when to spend them and what to spend them on. I've found Astral Constructs to be a right life saver >.> Both for me and my party. They make for excellent one round distractions, two if overchannelled (Best used with Talented) And even if you aren't using them as a distraction, they make for a great first level attack power, especially if you use them to help the parties fighter flank enemies =3

But as I said. It's a strain unless you think about what you're doing =D It seems to be even more of a strain without Mr Construct... And because my physical stats are either 10 or below, merely attacking has proven to be... Well, pretty damn fargone...

I find AC (and crystal shard and energy ray) to be not-too-useful for a first level power. I'd rather get them at level 2, and use level 1 powers for things like entangling ectoplasm (lasts a full 5 ROUNDS!) and use my crossbow or sling when I want to conserve power points. Maybe use offensive precognition to up my attack rolls.

Y'see, a crossbow deals more damage on a hit than either an AC or an energy ray...At least at level 1. At 2 and above they last for much longer.

It is not brocken. That is sorta a myth. I mean it can easliy be brocken and abuse (Somthing I do well with) but played corectly it is not.

And if you do happen to abuse it, the DM can abuse you back because of your lack of Power Points >.>
