Ex: Mental Barrier, a third level power costs 5 pp. It's options to augment are as follows: 1-If you spend 4 additional power points, the deflection bonus to AC increases by 1 2-For very additional power point you spend, this power's duration increases by 1 round. If you paid 9 pp (5+4augment), would you get the increase to AC plus 4 extra rounds of duration? Or would you have to pay 13 pp (5+8 augment) to get the increased AC and 4 more rounds of time? Thanks |

Thanks Each augment is separate. A 9pp Mental Barrier could provide you with the increased AC (9+4) or could last for three rounds (5+2+2). An 11pp Mental Barrier could last for four rounds (5+2+2+2) or could provide the increased AC for two rounds (9+4+2). Mental Barrier is actually a bad example since it's so weak, but it'll have to do. |
