this class feature mentions that you can add ilumine soul class levels to soulknife levels to determine the mind blade's total enhancement bonus to damage and weapon abillity enhancement.

that's pretty fine I figured, but a little doubt came to my mind.

you can qualify for this prestige class at 5th leveal without much effort, meaning you will get your first mind blade anhancement (normally gained at 6th level of the soulkinfe) at the first level of the prestige class.

supposing you take all five levels in this class you gain mind blade enhancements as a 10th level soulknife.

so you're a soulknife 5th/illumine soul 5th.

Now if you take another level in the soulknife class, you become a soulknife 6th/illumine soul 5th. in theory, at 6th level a soulknife gains an enhancement bonus to his mind blade, but because of the stacking illumine soul levels, you are theoretically an 11th level soulkinfe ONLY for the purpose of the mind blade's bonuses...

I don't know if I was clear enough... it's kind of the same confusion I get when you decide to go up a level from your spellcasting class AFTER you have taken a level in a class that grants +1 caster.

What exactly HAPPENS?:banghead:

Your mind blade enhancement goes up again. You take your total illumine soul/soulknife levels, and pretend that is how many levels you have for the purpose of your mind blade's enhancement.

problem is, at sixth level a Soulknife gets the enhancement, but not at 11th...

I still don't quite get it...

Add up your soulknife levels and your illumine soul levels. Take that number, and look at that level on the soulknife class table. That's what you get regarding your mindblade.

If you take 5 levels of soulknife, 5 levels of illumine soul, and then another level of soulknife, then you get the same mindblade an 11th level soulknife would get.

Yeah. That's what I was trying to say, but it didn't come out right.
