| Water_To_Fire07-07-07, 09:29 PM | There's always (Greater) Psionic Endowment, and the psionatrices. Get Practiced Manifester to increase your Manifester level (and therefore the amount of PP you can spend, leading to higher DCs). Nothing else off of the top of my head. |

I believe the best you can do pre-epic would be a level 19 or 20 Wilder, using a Wild Surge to get ML 25. That's enough to augment to 3d4 and either Twin (for a total of 6d4, average 15), or Empower and Maximize (for a total of 12+[3d4 x .5], average 16.5). With the Empowered and Maximized version, you can get an average of 38.5 by Wilder level 32 (ML 41) or 44 by Wilder level 35 (ML 45). Note that Wild Surging for full at these levels will give you about a 50% chance of psychic enervation, which will drain PP equal to your Wilder level. Also note that this power has a saving throw or Reflex (negates). |

| crizhII07-09-07, 06:41 AM | If you want to go in all guns blazing then at lvl 21 you can use Improved Overchannel, Epic Psionic Focus and Metapower to crank out an Empowered, Maximised and Twinned Stygian Bolt at ML 41 that would do 28+(7D4/2) negative levels twice. With Metaconcert you can crank the save up to DC 35-40 which for level appropriate Epic threats is far from easy. |
| Mesiolan07-09-07, 07:18 AM | There is the Mind's Eye 3.5 feat "psychic meditation". The Third Eye Chakra allows you add an unnamed bonus of +2 to your three mental abilities, for an hour. To activate the chakra, you need the feat, eight hours of meditation in advance, and a standard action. The unnamed bonus adds +1 to your caster or manifester DC, no matter what class you are. Other chakras are very valuable, too. |

Empower power + Greater Empower power = +2 DC (requires focus expenditure) Psionatrix = +1 DC to particular discipline powers Spell level = 4 (death urge is fun) Base DC = +10 10 + 13 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 30. not all powers can be augmented but this one can, so lets add that in 7 point power + 12 point augment = 19 points "for every 4 additional power points you spend, this power's save DC increases by 2 and its duration increases by 1 round" thats another +6 to the DC, bringing the grand total to DC 36 will negates 6 rounds of self-choppy-stabby-smashy. if you can get your int higher, then you get your DC higher. also if you can get some house rules for heighten spell metamagic to be converted to Heighten Power Metapsionic, acting in the same exact way it normaly does but incorperate psionics, thats another +2, but you would need psicrystal affinity and the other feat to allow 2 focus expenses in one round as a standard action. theres also a neat feat combo in Vile Darkness that turns one spell into an evil spell, and a metamagic that increases the DC of any evil spell by 2. at that point, you'd need 2 psycrystals to pull that off, but youd be sitting on a DC 40. 18 base + 2 human paragon + 6 item + 5 tome + 5 levels. nothing fancy. just plane-jane human psion 17 / human paragon 3. |
