Is there a "psychic hexblade" somewhere? [Archive] - Wizards Community

All flavor aside, psychic warriors are mechanically similar to bards in their abilities:

Medium BAB
Highest power/spell is level 6
Full caster/manifester level
etc.

Where the bard gets many cool abilities, the PsW gets feats, better HD and more combat prowess. Anyway, I was wondering is there was a psionic equivalent (mechanically) to full BAB casters such as hexblade, ranger and paladin, with features:

Full BAB
d10 hd (preferably)
Highest power is level 4
Manifester level = half class level
+ cool abilities and/or bonus feats

I'm primarily interested in official stuff, but homebrew classes are fine too.

Closest you'll find is the Marksman in Untapped Potential.

Full base attack
d6 HD, light armor, bucklers, simple weapons, light and ranged martial weapons.
Highest power level is 5
Full manifester level, but limited powers (first gained at level 2) and power points
Cool class features and a great list of powers (although limited in some areas).

You can think of it a similar to, but distinct from, a ranger.

if the Divine Mind had full base attack (and wasn't a steaming pile of converted paladin ********) it would probably be the closest official thing you can find. It sucks, though, so I wouldn't even think about it.

OK, thanks. If creating such a class, I personally find it inevitable to draw inspiration from the Jedi (not that I play Star Wars though). It would be a lot like the ranger, but with monk and psi flavor, rather than druid flavor. Then you can just give your character a brilliant energy bastard sword and there you go.

In fact, now that I think about it, the challenge would be to make it sufficiently jedi-ish for concept believability, but not so much that you thought it was a jedi conversion for D&D.

EDIT:
Couldn't resist the temptation of tinkering with a new class... tell me what you think

BASICS
*Hd: 1d8
*BAB: Good
*Skills: As monk and psychic warrior
*Saves: As monk (all good)
*Armor issues: As monk (i.e. wis to ac but completely improficient)
*Weapon proficiencies: simple and martial

MANIFESTING
Wisdom based. Nothing until level 4, then level/2 = ML. Small amount of PP, maybe 10 powers known of no higher than 4th level. The list would be geared towards clairsentience, telepathy and powers of a defensive/healing or acrobatic nature from psychometabolism and psychoportation.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Many of the things I want to be able to do with this class are covered by the psionic powers. However, there are many acrobatic and "sixth sense" abilities I'd like to fit in:
>>Monk
*Fast movement
*Evasion and improved invasion
>>Rogue
*Uncanny dodge and improved uncanny dodge
*Trap sense
>>Bonus feats
*Possibly a small selection at early levels as for the monk class. Improved initiative, acrobatic, the +2 to save feats, and acrobatic or defensive psionic feats would be suitable.

You can try my blade dancer.

It has a full base attack bonus, a few bonus feats that follow the Spring Attack chain, abilities that let you use power points, and the limited ability to learn powers.

I'm primarily interested in official stuff, but homebrew classes are fine too.

Aside from what everyone else has mentioned, there's also the warmind prestige class, which gives full base attack and finishes off at 10th level with 5th level powers. It's easily comparable to one of those half-caster prestige classes, like holy liberator.

Well, as far as homebrew goes, my homebrew class, the kshatriya (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=823979), can be psionic. (they face a choice at level 4 to persue psionics or fighter-style bonus feats, a bit like the ranger's choice between archery and two-weapon fighting)
