| brahmin03-04-07, 05:03 AM | hey, i'm trying to find a resource which details the kalashtar culture (from Eberron). can anyone please point me in the right direction? thanks in advance... |
| Artector03-04-07, 07:41 AM | Secrets of Sarlona, Races of Eberron, there might be a Dragonshard on them the wizard's website. |
| brahmin03-04-07, 11:46 AM | is secrets or races a more indepth resource? or are they both roughly equivalent in terms of info? again, thanks... |
| Thomar_of_Uointer03-04-07, 03:08 PM | is secrets or races a more indepth resource? or are they both roughly equivalent in terms of info? again, thanks... Secrets of Sarlona deals with the entire Sarlona continent, the Kalashtar homeland. It also covers the Quori, Dreaming Dark, and other fun things. It's more of a DM's resource. Races of Eberron deals with the races presented in the EbCS. Kalashtar are in there, and get a few interesting racial feats. It's more of a player's resource. |
| Think002803-05-07, 06:10 PM | Races of Eberron is more like the Diary of Anne Frank: deals with the outlook of kalashatar as individuals and how each views their current circumstances, individual persnalities. Secrets of Sarlona is more like a history book detailing World War II: it covers EVERYTHING about Sarlona, one subsection of which is the Kalashtar. It deals more with political history and geography than individual people, although the important movers and shakers are described. |
| Vharuck03-06-07, 04:12 PM | Just to point out, Races of Eberron's Kalashtar section was written by Keith Baker, the man who created Eberron. On the Eberron forums, that chapter is considered the most interesting and useful. Keith is an excellent writer and creator. |
| brahmin03-06-07, 04:20 PM | thanks for all the insight everyone. i couldn't find a dragonshard on them (that eberron page needs some work in my opinion; i don't even know where to look for these dragonshards), but the info on the books is appreciated nonetheless. |
| InkBlot03-06-07, 05:03 PM | Using Google (http://www.google.com) I was able to quickly find the Dragonshards (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/archeb/ds) on Psionics In Eberron (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebds/20060925a), Blades Of The Quori (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebds/20050110a), and The Reach Of Riedra Part One (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebds/20050822a) and Part Two (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebds/20050808a). |

| Argo03-07-07, 06:17 AM | Races of Eberron is like the Diary of Anne Frank. I just laughed milk out my nose. |
