Undead are immune to Ability Drain (permanent reductions) and to physical ability damage. You can still ego whip them. Well you could if they weren't immune to Mind-Affecting.. They don't have any protection from a larval flayers INT damage, however. Makes some sense against Vampires and the like. I'm just not so sure how a Larval Flayer is supposed to eat a Lich's brain!? |
| kyeudo03-28-07, 10:05 AM | Why? A lich's brain is still located inside its skull, although it may be rotting and not too flavorful. The only thing different about a lich and a vampire is where their souls are located, their state of decay, and their salient powers and weaknesses. I mean, they are both walking corpses with intelligence powered by negative energy. Why should Larval Flayers have trouble with a lich? |

I always imagined Lichs as skeletal, nothing but bones and old rags held together with will, malice and negative energy. I wouldn't have imagined there being much tissue left and I certainly wouldn't imagine losing it would make any difference to the Lich's mind. |

Yeah, but demiliches get rid of everything but their heads. It's got to do something, right? |
| Calanctus03-28-07, 06:32 PM | Actually Demiliches can get rid of everything but their hand as well. So not necessarily. |
| kyeudo03-29-07, 12:42 AM | Normal Liches have more flesh than a skeleton, and nothing has ever showed the contents of a liches skull, so I suppose its assumed that the brain is still inside their skull, even if they stripped the rest of them. |
