09-13-07, 05:24 PM I've got a brief question about learning psionic powers and the level of power you can learn.

What is the required manifester level you need to learn a power?

Example: Can you learn 5th level powers at ML 9 or do you need to have ML 10?

09-13-07, 05:54 PM There's no required manifester level. You can learn any power up to the level it says on your class's table. For example, the psion class table says you can learn 5th level powers at level 9. The psychic warrior's class table says you can learn 5th level powers at level 13.

The ardent is the only exception to this. The ardent can learn any power he can pay the power points for. Since 5th level powers cost 9 power points, the ardent can learn a 5th level power when his manifester level is 9. Ardents are from Complete Psionics.
