I don't want to take over Hovnarrs Fort Save or Die thread, so I decided to make a new thread for it. I'm new to Psionics and the like, so I could use help doing this. Why? Because, it's fun to make strange and unusual things that make people shudder at the very thought ^^ And, it's a BBEG =3 I'm moving my recent post in that thread here, with modifications.

Lets do this thing ^^

Telepath 6/ Thrallherd 9/Body Leech 5

While losing the second Thrall is a bit of a stab, as the DM you still have ALOT of believers to mess with, and a damn annoying boss. The -3 manifester levels does hurt a little, but you have assimilate, and, the Body Leeches cheat death ability, plus the free Greater Stasis power. I think thats worth the losses. The best part is, the skills needed are gained via Telepath anyway. Theres alot of synergy in there.

Now. To keep it on hand and to be quick about it, the requirements for Thrallherd are:

Skills: Diplomacy 4 ranks, Knowledge (psionics) 8 ranks.
Feat: Inquisitor.
Psionics: Manifester level 5th and able to manifest mindlink.

Body Leech are:

Alignment: Any evil.
Skills: Bluff 8 ranks, Diplomacy 8 ranks.
Feats: Body Fuel, Inquisitor.
Psionics: Must be able to manifest ectoplasmic cocoon and mindswitch.

Ectoplasmic Cocoon will have to be grabbed about level 9ish. Any ideas guys? =3 The idea itself makes me shudder, thats why I want to see it made a reality ^^

Edit: And could someone come up with a better name for the thread? I'm gonna go running through the SRD.

Edit 2: OH! And I just thought about it. While having alot of believers in a long period of stasis is possible here, we also shouldn't forget that said BBEG could also be using their freely augmentable Psionic Charm and Psionic Dominate via the Thrallherd to gain other critters as batteries. However, we must also remember that there is a limit to the amount of cocoons they can have. But hell, they still have a pretty damn big army due to being a Thrallherd, AND said army gets regenerated on a 24 hourly basis.

OK, so you started a new thread, cool. Here are my parameters:
*Level 15 build (might to an epic version later)
*Elite array for attributes
*Leadership/thrallherd adjudication: all believers/followers are NPC classes. They get NPC wealth for their level. Thralls/cohorts can have any classes permitted to players and also get NPC wealth.
*Books allowed: SRD only + open WotC material like the Body Leech.
----here-we-go-----
Base build: Telepath5/Thrallherd7/Body Leech3
Elite Array: Str8 Dex10 Con12(14) Int18(20) Wis13 Cha14(16)
Leadership score: 15+7+3=25 (precisely non-epic maximum)
Cocoons: 6 (all contain believers)
Thrall level: 14 (we should pick a thrall that adds the most power to the believers as a group - a fieldmarshal so to speak)
Powers and equipment details to be added...
Manifests as a 13 level psion with some added goodies like additional PP from cocoons and domination cost reduction...

I'll put this BBEG to the test in a stand-alone mini module where a solo PC is to break into a psionic fortress of sorts. He can facilitate the last boss fight by killing off all cocoons first, but must deal with hardness 17 and tethered hounds there. Level 1 believers run around the fortress and cause mischief, while level 2-6 believers are actively combative, supported by the thrall. And then it's time for the boss fight!

I'm really tired, and didn't think about things. Sorry T-T

Since you need a 6th level power to qualify for Body leech, you have to use 12/15 levels to qualify if you loose 1 ML to thrallherd. That only leaves 3 levels of BL to a 15 level build. But that's OK, since this is a stand-alone thing and an experiment, so I pretty much want him to die. In my "real" campaign, he's gonna be the big bad epic s.o.b. who'll make a weak appearance at party level 15-ish, "accidentally" die so that he really becomes even more powerful in his new body and then return for the big finale around level 21ish.

Not late where I'm at, btw :)

You could use his first Thrallherd as the body he jumps back into... And if that thrallherd is a melee character... Oh man thats sheer brilliance! Nicely thought out!

That way, he has both impressive mental AND physical stats o.o

Yeah... I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking properly.

So, he comes back, and he has an even stronger Thrall than before, who is this time like the armies true general, inspiring them to greatness. You also have 16 cocoons, All containing believers kept in random positions within the
125 mile area spread, using the BBEG's 'base' as a centre.

And because he died and switched into his old thralls body, he's now unrecognisable to the party. They have no idea it's him terrorising them again xD

So he, with his new regenerated army and his new, stronger thrall, and possibly his Artillery Astral Constructs, are ready to truely tear into the party.

Wow... Just imagine two of those kinds of BBEG's having a massive war against each other and the party ends up stuck in parts of it.

AH! AAAAH!!!! O.O!!! Make the thrall a constructor!

Actually, I was thinking of the cheat death cocoon to be something huge. Something huge and nasty and monstrous. The BBEG could still use metamorphosis or a Skin of Proteus (SRD) to assume his "usual" self afterwards. Then he can go back to being a huge monster when he needs to fight. What if he keeps a Horned Devil or something like that in his death cocoon? The possibilities are endless!

Isn't this what Megatron did in Beast Machines? </geek>

This is brilliant! =D

Though, kinda strange no one else is helping out, but hey.

And the fact he could have time hop is really sad... Coupled with the TK Thrust + Energy Ball combo... Ouch...
