| Andramadus07-24-07, 03:41 AM | Gotta make a level 0 god for yet another campaign I will be starting and am interested in doing psionics for him.... Suggestions? I am not too familar with diety templates but have looked at SRD d20. Any help to make an awesom level 0 god would be great.... Thanks |
| CrimsonDeath07-24-07, 03:44 AM | Do you mean ECL 0 or Divine Rank 0? |
| Andramadus07-24-07, 04:08 AM | Do you mean ECL 0 or Divine Rank 0? That would be Divine Rank. Thanks |
| Psionx07-24-07, 04:23 AM | God of what? -God of disciplined mind -God of sanity -God of insanity (cthulu...) God's are defined almost by their templates and what they are governing. |
| Andramadus07-24-07, 04:25 AM | I am thinking war, power and pleasure. But mostly war. |
| Psionx07-24-07, 04:30 AM | Ok, that would mean that he knows about combat. There is a feat chaotic mind, probably adapt it so that it isn't a feat but tag it on as part of his mastery of combat and keep the part that says: Creatures and characters who have an insight bonus on their attack rolls, an insight bonus to their Armor Class, or an insight bonus on skill checks or ability checks do not gain those bonuses against you. This makes him unpredictable (or just really good in combat). Other powers could be interesting but remember this is Rank 0 not overdiety type stuff. Pleasure from what? How does he relate to war? What kind of power (brute force, in numbers, through words, through brilliant strategies?) |
| Andramadus07-24-07, 04:42 AM | Other powers could be interesting but remember this is Rank 0 not overdiety type stuff. Pleasure from what? How does he relate to war? What kind of power (brute force, in numbers, through words, through brilliant strategies?) Pleasure from Women and wealth He relates to wars by starting them, for example he would drive the kings/main hero's chariot to ensure his victory. Power as in energy or psionic energy. |
| Psionx07-24-07, 04:49 AM | If he starts wars you may want to go with an advanced version of remote viewing to allow him to start them with an "invisible hand". If you mean a surplus of power points, make his charisma count for bonus power points separately and add the two totals. He can create wealth through true creation and he can get women through the telepathy discipline. Might want to make him smart and charismatic. Have him find a way around protection from mind-affecting effects too if he has to interact with them. Anyway, I'm going to sleep soon, hope this helped a bit.:) (In all likelyhood he'd be a telepath) |
| Andramadus07-25-07, 06:22 AM | Can someone post a level 0 template? |
| forsaken111107-25-07, 04:31 PM | Can someone post a level 0 template? No we can't post the template for DVR 0 because its not in the SRD that i could see. |
| CrimsonDeath07-25-07, 10:17 PM | http://www.d20srd.org/srd/divine/divineRanksAndPowers.htm#rank0 Not exactly a "template", but it should have most (if not all) of the information you need. |
| forsaken111107-25-07, 10:21 PM | Ahh some stuff is in there, I didn't see it when I looked. |
| Andramadus07-26-07, 03:59 AM | OK guys I found a diety and erased his attributes can anyone help fill in a level 0 psionic abilitys, for reference? Hero level 0 Deity Symbol: ??? | CrimsonDeath07-26-07, 03:22 PM | Nothing on that list has anything to do with psionics. So, no, nobody can help you fill in psionic abilities based on the information you have provided. Once you decide the deity's race, classes, class levels, and portfolio, then we can start helping you. |
| forsaken111107-26-07, 03:54 PM | To put it more frankly, We're not doing the work for you. Once you actually have a concept come back and we can help you out. |
| Andramadus07-26-07, 04:11 PM | Well see the thing is I am not to sure of how to fill in the list for a level 0 diety. But I am sure I want him to be psionic. Deity's race: That would be an Elan Classes:Erudite, but I think being a god change that to Outsider right? Class Levels: Still a bit unsure, definatly want to dip into a few prestiege classes and levels Portfolio: War --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So here's some basic stuff I have to work with: Rules stated by the DM You will be starting at level 1, for the express reason that you are kids as far as diety's. The age range will be settled by vote. And by age I don't mean level of maturity or physical apperance. I mean how old you really are. A tween does not have enough experience in life to merit 20HD. But all characters will start with outsider HD equal to 1/2 your starting age. Any unique abilities your god of choice possesses that are not expressable with SDA, SLA, or class features will be worked out at the time you get them, which will be determined by how many outsider HD you have. You will also get minor versions of your chosen deitey's main abilities. These will grow as you progress, or get replaced with new powers of the same type as the siduation merits Here's the SRD stuff: These are the abilities a Deity of Rank 0 normally gets. I've edited out most of the stuff they get at Rank 1 or higher... Rank 0 Creatures of this rank are sometimes called quasi-deities or hero deities. Creatures that have a mortal and a deity as parents also fall into this category. These entities cannot grant spells, but are immortal and usually have one or more ability scores that are far above the norm for their species. They may have some worshipers. Ordinary mortals do not have a divine rank of 0. They lack a divine rank altogether. Outsider Type Deities are creature with the outsider type and have all alignment subtypes that correspond with their alignment. An outsider is at least partially composed of the essence (but not necessarily the material) of some plane other than the Material Plane. Assuming a starting age of 16, characters will start with 8 outsider Hit Dice. Features An outsider has the following features. * 8-sided Hit Dice. * Base attack bonus equal to total Hit Dice (as fighter). * Good Fortitude, Reflex, and Will saves. * Skill points equal to (8 + Int modifier, minimum 1) per Hit Die, with quadruple skill points for the first Hit Die. Traits An outsider possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry). * Unlike other outsiders, deities have no darkvision unless noted in the deity description. * Unlike most other living creatures, an outsider does not have a dual nature - its soul and body form one unit. When an outsider is slain, no soul is set loose. Spells that restore souls to their bodies, such as raise dead, reincarnate, and resurrection, don’t work on an outsider. It takes a different magical effect, such as limited wish, wish, miracle, or true resurrection to restore it to life. * Proficient with all simple and martial weapons and any weapons mentioned in its entry or portfolio. * Proficient with whatever type of armor (light, medium, or heavy) it is described as wearing, as well as all lighter types. Outsiders not indicated as wearing armor are not proficient with armor. Outsiders are proficient with shields if they are proficient with any form of armor. * Outsiders breathe, but do not need to eat or sleep (although they can do so if they wish). [but see Immortality below] Levels Characters have 8 outsider HD and 1 character level. Hit Points Deities receive maximum hit points for each Hit Die. Speed Deities can move much more quickly than mortals. A deity’s base land speed depends on its form (biped or quadruped) and its size, as shown on the following table. Some deities are exceptions, with speeds faster or slower than the norm. Deity Size Biped 1 Quadruped 2 Fine 20 ft. 60 ft. Diminutive 30 ft. 70 ft. Tiny 40 ft. 80 ft. Small 50 ft. 90 ft. Medium 60 ft. 100 ft. Large 80 ft. 120 ft. Huge 100 ft. 140 ft. Gargantuan 120 ft. 160 ft. Colossal 140 ft. 180 ft. Notes: Use the Biped column for burrow and swim speeds for all deities regardless of form. Use half the value in the Biped column for climb speeds for all deities. Use twice the value in the Quadruped column for fly speeds for all deities capable of flying. 1. Or any form with two or fewer legs. 2. Or any form with three or more legs. Armor Class A field of divine energy encompasses a deity’s body, granting it a divine Armor Class bonus equal to its divine rank. This bonus stacks with all other Armor Class bonuses and is effective against touch attacks and incorporeal touch attacks. Most deities (all those with 20 outsider Hit Dice) have a natural armor bonus of their divine rank +13. All deities also have a deflection bonus to their AC equal to their Charisma bonus (if any). Deities who aren’t outsiders have their normal natural armor bonus + their divine rank. Many deities have other Armor Class bonuses as noted in their individual descriptions. Divine Rank(divine): +0 Natural Armor: +13 Deflection: +Cha bonus Attacks A deity’s Hit Dice and type and character level determine its base attack bonus. In addition to the figures for weapon attacks, this section of the statistics block also includes melee touch attack and ranged touch attack bonuses, to be used when the deity casts a spell or uses a spell-like ability that requires a touch attack to affect its target. A deity gets its divine rank (+0) as a divine bonus on all attack rolls. Saving Throws A deity’s outsider Hit Dice and character level determine its base saving throw bonuses. A deity gets its divine rank (+0) as a divine bonus on all saving throws. Checks A deity gets its divine rank (+0) as a divine bonus on all skill checks, ability checks, caster level checks, and turning checks. Deities and Synergy Bonuses For every 20 extra ranks a deity has in a skill, the deity’s synergy bonus from the skill (if any) increases by +2. Immunities Deities have the following immunities. Individual deities may have more immunities. Unless otherwise indicated, these immunities do not apply if the attacker is a deity of equal or higher rank. Transmutation A deity is immune to polymorphing, petrification, or any other attack that alters its form. Any shape-altering powers the deity might have work normally on itself. Energy Drain, Ability Drain, Ability Damage A deity is not subject to energy drain, ability drain, or ability damage. Mind-Affecting Effects A deity is immune to mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects). Damage Reduction A deity of rank 0 has damage reduction of 10/epic. If the deity also has damage reduction from another source this damage reduction does not stack with the damage reduction granted by divine ranks. Instead, the deity gets the benefit of the best damage reduction in a given situation. Whenever a deity has a second kind of damage reduction that might apply to an attack, that damage reduction is listed in parentheses after the damage reduction entry in the deity’s statistics block. Resistances All deities have at least the following resistances. Individual deities may have additional resistances. Energy Resistance A deity has fire resistance of 5 + its divine rank. Spell Resistance A deity has spell resistance of 32 + its divine rank. Immortality All deities (even those of rank 0) are naturally immortal and cannot die from natural causes. Deities do not age, and they do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe. The only way for a deity to die is through special circumstances, usually by being slain in magical or physical combat. Salient Divine Abilities/Portfolio Normally, Divine Rank 0 gets no Portfolio-based salient abilities, but the DM says... |

You will also get minor versions of your chosen deitey's main abilities. These will grow as you progress, or get replaced with new powers of the same type as the siduation merits OK, that's the kind of stuff we might be able to work with. Personally, I'm not sure why a demigot of War is gaining levels as an Erudite (I'd probably use a Psychic Warrior or Ardent), but this is your character, so I'll assume that you have something specific in mind. Here's the SRD stuff: You don't need to copy/paste the SRD. We can find the SRD ourselves. (...) Levels Characters have 8 outsider HD and 1 character level. (...) Divine Rank(divine): +0 Natural Armor: +13 Deflection: +Cha bonus The 8 Outsider HD give you +8 base attack, +6 to all base saves, and 88 + (11x Int modifier) skill points from a skill list that you and your DM should determine together. (Most likely, you can just pick a number of skills equal to 8 + your Intelligence modifier and put 11 ranks in each of them. However, you should still check with your DM.) They also grant you proficiency with all simple and martial weapons, but no armor or shields (unless your DM decides that you are "described as wearing" some). Your one Erudite level gives you another 4 HP and another +2 to your base Will save, as well as skilll points equal to 2 + your Intelligence modifier. You also know a number of level 1 psionic powers from the general Psion/Wilder list equal to 2 + your Intelligence modifier (from which you can choose to manifest one each day) and have PP equal to 2 (racial) + 2 (base) + 1/2 your Intelligence modifier. You also gain Psicrystal Affinity as a bonus feat. You gain no additional weapon or armor proficiencies from your class. You also have four feats (since you have nine hit dice) and another bonus Psionic feat (from your first level of Erudite). Your natural armor bonus is not +13, because you do not have 20 Outsider HD. It's +0-- +0 from Elan, +0 from Outsider HD, +0 from Divine Rank. Salient Divine Abilities/Portfolio Normally, Divine Rank 0 gets no Portfolio-based salient abilities, but the DM says... But the DM says what? As I said, we can find the SRD. We can't find your DM's house rules. |
