I'm working on a Kenshi (from Mortal Kombat) build, but i'm not sure on what power to use for his fatality: catortionist. At level 20 he will be a 12th lvl manifester, so any power 6th level or lower should suffice. Also, it can come from any psionic source. Thanks for your help!

What does Contortionist do? I've never played the newer Mortal Kombat games and none of the websites I could find with information on Kenshi listed Contortionist as one of his moves.

6th level Psywar powers:

Breath of the Black Dragon: Acid breath - need I say more? :P

Form of Doom: Transform into a horrifying tentacled creature .. :D

Rage of the Remorhaz: body becomes searing hot ...

Stygian Touch: Negative levels - and you heal ... (ie suck the life force out of them ala Shiang Shungs (sp?) fatality in MK1 ...)

The Contortionist is his fatality move in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance Game. He uses his telekinesis to first pop the enemy's eyes out of thier sockets, then twist the neck around, and finishes by bending every limb in the opposite direction it would normally go. It's not very pretty but I think it's one of the coolest fatalities in the game. :evillaugh

That is a short video of what it actually looks like.

Edit: I also thought of another fatality he does, this one is from Mortal Kombat Deception. Any ideas on how to do this one?

That's just telekinetic maneuver. Psion/wilder 4. You use it to make grapple checks, and each grapple check deals unarmed strike damage with your Int in place of your Str. He probably has some good unarmed strike damage.

The videos you linked don't want to work for me.

Either Telekinetic Maneuver or a dramatically reflavored Cranial Deluge. (The latter, by default, blows up a target's head. Mechanically, so long as all you use it on is intelligent, it just does a lot of damage and makes sure a creature can't be raised.)

hmmm... i'm not sure how to fix that.

And thanks for the help! I have no idea why i didn't think of one of the few powers with "telekinetic" in the name. ha!

In the other fatality, Kenshi telekinetically lifts his enemy into the air and then forcefully separates their top and bottom halves. Is there a power that i can use in conjunction with telekinetic maneuver to pull that off?

Psionics doesn't do save-or-dies well, and most of it's save-or-dies are telepathic.

Tearing someone in two is nothing more than dealing enough damage to them to take them below -10 hit points. If you're doing a fatality then the fight is practically over already and your foe already has very few hit points left. In fact, judging from how wobbly MK characters get when you have the chance to do the fatality, they're probably at 0 hit points and staggered. It's still telekinetic maneuver and grapple checks.

Take grip of iron from the psiwar list. Make sure you take Improved Grapple, Overchannel, Practiced Manifester from Complete Psionic, and Earth's Embrace from Complete Warrior.

With a manifester level of 19, an Int mod of at least +4, +4 from Improved Grapple, and +12 from grip of iron, you'll have a grapple modifier of +39 (or better with a higher Int).

Now pin your foe with telekinetic maneuver. Each round you deal 1d12 damage from Earth's Embrace, and your foe can't do anything about it without making two successful opposed grapple checks against you. In two rounds you can reduce him from 0 HP to -12 HP, and tear him in two (or telekinetically contort him to death in any other way you can imagine).

Either Telekinetic Maneuver or a dramatically reflavored Cranial Deluge.
You can't do everything just by changing the flavor. Sometimes you need to change the mechanics too. At the very least, you'd need to change cranial deluge from psychometabolism to psychokinesis, and change the target from "one creature with an int score above 2" to "one creature."

Anyway, cranial deluge just deals a lot of dice of damage. With average rolls, it'll be 63 damage. Enough for a save against massive damage. A character you can perform a fatality on is nearly dead already, so that really seems like overkill.

Cranial Deluge shouldn't have been psychometabolism in the first place. And I dealt with the target line: so long as you only intend to use it on humanoids *just* like in Mortal Kombat (where I suspect that every creature has an Int of 3 or more), it still works. The point is, unlike Telekinetic Maneuver (which I agree is a good fit), it doesn't leave a body to be raised. Just like the various pieces that are left after that gruesome video.
