Okay. I will admit that I'm totally new here. I will hope that people will be okay with these questions. Especially given that, if I understand correctly, my copy of the Magic Item Compendium got into my hands a few days earlier than it should have. I can also hope that I'm making enough sense for these questions to get answers. Okay, here we go: This is the basis of where my questions are coming from. There's an interesting sidebar in Magic Item Compendium called "Psionics and Crafting Magic Items" which dicusses how many items in the book can be constructed with the appropriate psionic item creation feat. Quite a few items in the book are more or less psionic items from the two big sources, Expanded Psionics Handbook and Complete Psionic but with their magical twist (aka magical aura, spell requirements, etc.). Among those are a few armor and weapon abilities, third eyes, and psychoactive skins. A very tiny handful of items actually mention psionics at all, and fewer of those even have psionic feats (item creation or otherwise) mentioned. I know perhaps I should not feel this way, but I feel a bit cheated and that Magic Item Compendium basically stole a bunch of psionic items and paraded them as new magic items simply by changing around the requirements to magical ones. Am I the only one who feels the same way about that? Also, has anyone actually taken the time to figure out the psionic equivalents of spells to make existing magical items into psionic ones? I think that Magic-Psionic Transparancy is great on paper, but really isn't very well executed. I do understand, however, that the word count of a book would get eaten alive if every new magic item had its psionic equivalent added in, but IMHO, it makes sense to do so, even if only as a web enhancement. Psionics are more supported than they were, but there are still a lot of huge gaps. But that's a wholly different thread. Last, but not least, is anyone other than myself going to make psionically flavored items from this book and use them that way? Arovyn
