greamlive 08-23-07, 02:45 AM	Hi, I would like to know when a Psionic is manifested, does the psionicist that manifest it need Verbal component and does he need to have free hand to manifest a psionic. I ask, cause I was polymorphed with a Polymorph psionic version 3.0 into a Bat and wanted to manifest a psionic, but my DM ruled that I needed a humanoid body with hand to be able to manifest my psionic. Since Psionic are powers of the mind I tought that it was unreasonable to ask I have hand to manifest a psionic since my mind is still the same. Please answer this as soon as possible. Thanks in advance
AntiDjinn 08-23-07, 02:59 AM	Your DM was wrong. You don't need to be able to speak or move your hands to manifest psionic powers. Some powers may not function as well in bat form: Stomp won't produce spectacular results while flying. Suggestion requires you to be able to converse with the subject (note: Not the same as a verbal component; the conversation is needed to make proper use of the results, not to turn the power on). Skate does not affect your flight speed. Note, however, that even in those cases the power still manifests, it just does not give a useful result. On the other hand it is academic because you are using 3.0 psionics. Anything the DM can do to put your character out of his misery is probably kindest in the long run. Move up to 3.5 and the Expanded Psionics Handbook or don't bother with D&D psionics.
