| Bedlamtom05-02-07, 03:33 PM | Does the bennifit (+10 move) gained from the Freedom Mantle stack with the psi feat Speed of Thought? They never say what type of bonus the mantle provides. I've already seen that the bonus types are different for boots of striding and speed of thought...now can I add another 10 feet a round? I know I'm being greedy but I am curious. Thanks. |
| InkBlot05-02-07, 03:38 PM | Yes, it stacks. It's an unnamed bonus, and unnamed bonuses always stack. |
| Cala, Legend Reborn05-02-07, 04:06 PM | Speed of Thought: insight bonus. Freedom Mantle: unnamed bonus. Boots of Striding: enhancement bonus. They are all different types, so they will stack. Have fun with your speedy guy. |
| Bedlamtom05-02-07, 06:54 PM | Yes, it stacks. It's an unnamed bonus, and unnamed bonuses always stack. Where does it say that unnamed bonuses always stack? |
| Antendren05-02-07, 07:31 PM | This is from the SRD. There's similar text in the PHB. In most cases, modifiers to a given check or roll stack (combine for a cumulative effect) if they come from different sources and have different types (or no type at all), but do not stack if they have the same type or come from the same source (such as the same spell cast twice in succession). If the modifiers to a particular roll do not stack, only the best bonus and worst penalty applies. Dodge bonuses and circumstance bonuses however, do stack with one another unless otherwise specified. |
| Bedlamtom05-19-07, 03:20 AM | Okay I've got the fact that un named bonuses stack with other bonuses. How about with themselves, sort of. In this instance I'm refering to the un-named bonus for the freedom mantle and the 1st level Barbarian increase to speed. Would they stack? Thanks for your help. |
| Suldarr'essalar05-19-07, 04:07 AM | Unnamed bonuses stack with each other if they come from different source. So yes barbarian speed bonus and freedom mantle speed bonus stacks. |
