Mantles in FR [Archive] - Wizards Community

I've expanded the mantles list in CPsi to include FR deities, and I'm looking for some opinions/feedback, please.

Any deity names in red on the page (careful, the FR part can make your eyes bleed due to the abundance of red) are ones that were not listed in the book, so I've attempted to quantify them, I've also modified the selections for two of the FR deities that were in the originating table. Each deity should have, based on the precedent set by CPsi, 4 options. Any comments on the selections I've made are welcome, and suggestions for the ones I've got a set of question marks are also welcome.

Also, I'm tinking with racial mantles, available to a Divine Mind or Ardent of any deity, provided they are of the same race as the mantle (half-elf can get both Elf and Human), and I welcome any feedback on the ones developed so far, to include power suggestions (I've only gotten around to one mantle's power list so far).

04-18-07, 12:30 AM FR has way to many deities. When Faith and Panthonions is as thick as Deities and Demigods, which covers 4 Panthonions, you might have too many gods.

You saw historical paganisms and Hinduism?

There is never too much deities. :P

It's how it work - often, there was reducdance and many of them where quite local, and there was the packing effect of the local syncretisms.

04-18-07, 12:10 PM You only need to worry about matching mantles to deities if someone in your game is actually playing a divine mind. The ardent is an exemplar of his beliefs without needing outside guidance. Of course, in FR, everyone needs to pick a deity (it could be one who has nothing to do with your day job) to avoid being majorly hosed upon death. Still, you can have mantles that don't fall under a deities' portfolio, they would be for the ardent's use alone.
