| Xaxor05-17-07, 12:31 PM | Did we ever get a date when this will be released? |
| RavinRay05-17-07, 08:07 PM | IIRC no, I've been checking since Friday last week. The main D&D website gets updated between midnight and 1 AM Eastern time, so go check it out then and see. And when it does finally come out, could you update the title of this thread to read "May Mind's Eye is here!" so people will know at once? |
| Wotc_Mark05-17-07, 09:00 PM | The article I would like to put up this month is currently still in editing. So it may be a late one this month. If it doesn't look like its going to make it by the end of the month I'll let you know soon. Sorry for the delay. MJ  |
| Xaxor05-18-07, 03:16 PM | That's cool Mark. Good to know the details. |

| Xaxor05-18-07, 08:06 PM | I'm pretty sure this one is Lurk, Divine Mind, and Ardent. The Eurdite may get its own article. |
| Wotc_Mark05-18-07, 08:22 PM | May is running late so were gonna have to bump it to June (hopefully early June). June's Mind's Eye will be "Expanded Classes, Part 4: Ardent, Divine Mind, Lurk, and Erudite". In July we have a bunch of psionic monsters as a bonus for the Monster Manual V. That would unfortunately mean we would have no May article. However I managed to snag one of the monsters from July, that is done with editing, and have posted it for our Psionic fans. Sorry it isn't a bigger article I hope that it will tide you over till June. :) http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psb/20070518a Enjoy --MJ  p.s. Xaxor, bedford Ohio huh ... I grew up not far away in Garfield Hts. |
| Xaxor05-18-07, 08:58 PM | Yeah, you mentioned that before, maybe a couple years back. This is a pretty cool monster. Makes me all the more eager for the rest. |
| Gabriel Knight5205-18-07, 11:55 PM | Yay! A new "Mind's Eye" article. Big Psionics Fan, wanted to lend support. |
| kyeudo05-19-07, 12:29 AM | In July we have a bunch of psionic monsters as a bonus for the Monster Manual V. Wait, there is going to be new psionic monsters NOT from Eberron? AND in a core book? Im speachless!! |
| angellis_ater05-19-07, 06:02 AM | Mark - regarding the Euralden Eye: 1. It lacks the [Psionic] subtype. 2. It would need to have "Wild Talent" as a bonus feat to use Power Penetration or Up the Walls (which require psionic focus, a side effect of having power points). 3. There is absolutely NO need whatsoever for it to have Up the Walls as a feat, since it has a climbspeed, except for perhaps traversing completely unclimbable surfaces. Just a few mechanical opinions. |
| angellis_ater05-19-07, 06:03 AM | Wait, there is going to be new psionic monsters NOT from Eberron? AND in a core book? Im speachless!! No, there won't be any new psionic monsters not from Eberron in a core book - that's why we're getting a Minds Eye article with them instead. |
| Wotc_Mark05-19-07, 04:08 PM | Wait, there is going to be new psionic monsters NOT from Eberron? AND in a core book?I don't know, I haven't seen the book. Wait, there is going to be new psionic monsters NOT from Eberron? AND in a core book? These monsters were written for the Mind's Eye and happen to be scheduled to coincide with the release of the MMV at my request. No, there won't be any new psionic monsters not from Eberron in a core book - that's why we're getting a Minds Eye article with them instead.Like I said I don't know what's in the book... and you would have got these spread out across 5 months but I asked they be combined as a sort of web enhancement... Don't read any more into it than that. 1. Thanx, The first draft from 8/12/2006 has the psionic subtype, I will take this to the editor and see what they say. MJ  |
| InkBlot05-19-07, 04:29 PM | Mark, you're a godsend. The Euralden Eye is a very cool corporeal undead. Before, I thought only incorporeal undead could make cool psionic creatures. Thankyou! And thankyou for listening to us! |
| Xaxor05-19-07, 04:58 PM | I'm pretty sure the psi-like abilities are enough to gain psionic focus. It does need the (psionic) type though. |
| Millenia05-19-07, 08:21 PM | 2. It would need to have "Wild Talent" as a bonus feat to use Power Penetration or Up the Walls (which require psionic focus, a side effect of having power points). Or he could just give the Euralden Eye a racial power points, similar to the Elan or Xeph. ^^;a |
| munin05-19-07, 09:29 PM | I'm pretty sure the psi-like abilities are enough to gain psionic focus. You need to have at least one power point to gain psionic focus. Check the Concentration skill in Psionics for details. |
| Deekin05-19-07, 10:03 PM | Hey Mark, is there a chance that we will ever see a Bot9S/Psionics Prc? |
| Thomar_of_Uointer05-20-07, 12:25 AM | Ooooh. Creepy, dangerous, multiuse, and social psionic undead. Very nice. :D If this is what the future of Dragon and Dungeon magazine is like, I don't mind... |
| Azoriel05-20-07, 09:55 PM | Hey Bruce, is there a chance that we will ever see a Bot9S/Psionics Prc? I don't think you'll be hearing from Bruce on these boards, at least not any time soon; in the day of the 3.0 Psionics, things were considerably more rabid on the psionics board, so Mr. Cordell now steers clear of it. Mark, on the other hand, writes the Mind's Eye articles on the WotC boards, in addition to dropping by considerably more often, so you may be more likely to get an answer from him... ;) |
| Lycanthromancer05-20-07, 10:57 PM | Methinks it was a case of mistaken identity. I do wish Bruce would come back for a visit. We're so much happier this time around (though we could do with some much-needed errata). |

| Wotc_Mark05-21-07, 01:29 PM | For fun I thought I would give you a glimpse of the monsters for July. The following are the one paragraph descriptions for each monster. --MJ :88E: 1) Hanging against the stars like some giant bird or fabulous insect, this creature's diaphanous body looks like it was woven from gauze and spiderwebs. Twelve luminous eyes twist kaleidoscopically within its body, and as you catch their gaze the world around you seems to shift and change. 2) The small, apelike humanoid crouching before you grips a full-sized weapon in its long spidery fingers. Its dingy green skin ends in bare bone on its hands, feet, and face, and its weapon is wrapped in an unnatural glimmer. 3) Looming within the darkness you see a massive shaggy shape, with sharp claws and glowering eyes. The sight of it fills you with a primal sense of dread. 4) A swelling cloud of greenish vapour hovers above the fetid water, with two points of light glittering like stars in its upper billows. A strong smell of mould and decay fills the air. |
| Soel Griffin05-22-07, 05:16 AM | I wish there were pictures! |
| RavinRay07-12-07, 08:02 AM | Mark's kept his promise, and the four new psionic monsters (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psb/20070711a) are now uploaded. Razz started a thread about the dreamfane, but since the article pointed to this thread, I decided to post the news about it here. The dreamfane's concept is interesting. Since Mark co-wrote the original subpsionics article, I hope this spurs development into subpsionics and dream. |
