| Mesiolan08-09-07, 02:04 AM | We are playing with PSI/Magic transistency, so the psion may use metamagic rods for his powers. Last session we got a lesser metamagic rod of extend spell. It may be used with powers to double the duration. I'm thinking of taking the "Linked Power" feat next level. If I manifest two linked powers with the rod in hand, does the metamagic extend only the first, or the second power as well? DM is not around for two weeks, and I need somebody to answer this... |

If I manifest a 3pp Energy Ray linked to an Ectoplasmic Cocoon (8pp), it's actually a [3pp energy ray + an augment] that's being manifest when you use the rod. Also, by default, not even full transparency will allow an extend rod to work with powers. They apply the metamagic feat. Feats are not transparent by default. |

And low level Psywars need every boost they can get, including extended duration. Since my DM allows a metamagic rod to affect my powers, I'll have to ask him if he allows the duration of both buffs to be affected, or only the first. |
