10-01-07, 09:12 PM could a shifter theoretically use the metamorphosis power to become another breed of shifter, say a longtooth becoming a swiftwing?
and, if they could, could they also become an elite version of their own breed? and even become an elite version of another breed?

i ask this because i recall someone saying that, with metamorphosis, a shifter doesnt have to worry about shifter feats ever again.

Yes, but they gain nothing from it; you don't gain any of the special qualities from a race they morph into.

and, if they could, could they also become an elite version of their own breed? and even become an elite version of another breed?Nope. Average stats only.

i ask this because i recall someone saying that, with metamorphosis, a shifter doesnt have to worry about shifter feats ever again.Unless the race in question gets bonus feats, you don't get them with metamorphosis. You'd better take those shifter feats, buddy.

[edit]Speaking of getting bonus feats, when you metamorphosis into a human, do you get a bonus feat of your choice? What about skill points? I doubt you gain the bonus skill points, but the feat, I'd say yes.

I'm pretty sure your base Shifter trait is determined at character creation as a racial trait, so that should be immutable. If you picked up Extra Shifter Trait, though, you can change that.
