Metamorph: DR? [Archive] - Wizards Community

when I metamorph into a monster that has DR because it has such a hard skin / scales etc.
Is that a feature that I gain or not?
I would assume it's a very physical feature that I should get.
Or do I never gain DR by metamorphing?

05-31-07, 12:39 PM Metamorphosis only grants extraordinary special attacks, and does not grant any other special abilities. Damage reduction is either an extraordinary or supernatural special ability, depending on how it's bypassed. The Metamorphic Transfer feat allows you to gain supernatural abilities, such as damage reduction which is bypassed by silver, cold iron, magic/psionic, or aligned weapons.

but do not gain the extraordinary special qualities possessed by the new form (such as blindsense, fast healing, regeneration, and scent) or any supernatural, psionic, or spell-like abilities.

Sorry, DR is a special quality and you ever gain those with Metamorph (without a certain feat).
