Phase 11-18-07, 05:22 PM	Metamorph allows items to be carried if the creature would be able to carry or wear them. What about a medium sized creature using metamorph into a huge humanoid? Necklaces, belt, gloves that would add +stats, would these remain functunal? I dunno if the items size with you or not. I'll be going from my base to a mountain troll, so hes still a humanoid type creature, aka neck, waits, hands...

MindFlayerZoidberg 11-19-07, 01:03 AM	Well, I think if you turn into a huge humanoid creature they meld into your new form becoming nonfunctional, therefore not sizing with you, but certain items might be more of a gray area when concerning medium to large, such as a necklace, which still might fit around your neck, just a lot more tightly. However, I am fairly sure they don't size with you e.g. Sauron's Ring of Power or The Hulk's Pants, so Gloves and Rings would be too tight and meld, like wildshape.

The SRD's thoughts: Size And Magic Items When an article of magic clothing or jewelry is discovered, most of the time size shouldn’t be an issue. Many magic garments are made to be easily adjustable, or they adjust themselves magically to the wearer. Size should not keep characters of various kinds from using magic items. I don't think we can rule out Sauron's Ring or Hulk's Pants type resizing.

As luck would have it, the Polymorph errata didn't actually errata the Polymorph spell - just Wildshape and creature abilities to Polymorph themselves. Regardless, the Rules of the Game article is a bad source anyway - The guy apparently makes **** up on the fly whenever he is too busy to search for the ACTUAL rules with a fine-toothed comb, or when there ARE no rules on the subject.
