08-03-07, 07:34 PM So if I were to neutralize an opponent with Microcosm and then at my leisure used TMS. Would I be under the effects of the Microcosm when I switched bodies or would that stay with the host and his new, my old body?

08-03-07, 09:05 PM I'd say that all mind affecting effects would travel with the mental attributes. Just like mindswitching with a Charmed character would not result in you being Charmed.

08-05-07, 05:57 PM Supernatural effects stay with the affected character despite mind switch or other transformations. The exception would be continuous effects created by an item; the item itself stays right where it was and has no reason to transpose through space to stay with a particular character.

For example, if your target is Microcosmed because he is gazing into the cursed Mirror of Microcosm, then after the switch you are in the bod that is parked in front of the mirror and possibly captivated by the myriad alternate realities presented by it. A nice DM would allow you a saving throw, if the item ever allowed one, since you are being exposed to its effect for the first time.

btw: When you switch you keep the bond to your psicrystal (you still have the psicrystal affinity feat) but the pet rock itself doesn't teleport so you need to go get it or have it walk to you. To save time, have it walk to your target before switching.

The net effect is that when the normal duration is up, you're back to your own body. That's completely covered with quintessence, mind you, requiring other people to get you out. (You only get to ignore it if you're partially covered.)

If one participant’s body becomes petrified, imprisoned by temporal stasis or imprisonment, or incapacitated in some other way, the other participant will be incapacitated in that way when the power ends.Bolding mine. It's then implicit that your mind does return to your body, even if that body is in a state of frozen time (as here) or flowing time (as with the Far Realms).
