So, while looking over my powers, I had a particularly nasty idea. Depending upon how you interpret the physics of Ectoplasmic Form, it could potentially be used to enter the lungs, ear canal, etc. of a foe. Upon successful infiltration, use Metamorphosis to turn into a Horde Scarab (Draconomicon 168), or similarly sized creature. Gain focus as a move action, use it to gain the benefit of Psionic Fist (Any) with your attack, and deal 1d2 CON damage every round until the hapless foe dies. I'm pretty much assuming an automatic hit, or even automatic crit, on anything that requires an attack roll once you're inside the foe. Honestly, how much more critical can you get than eating brains or puncturing lungs? Alternatively (and lighter on powerpoints), you could enter an air breather's lungs, then use entangling ectoplasm to effectively suffocate them, though you'd be stuck in them as well for the duration. This isn't particularly helpful in combat, because you could be doing more useful things than slowly killing off a single guy. However, if you start getting beat down, or just need to kill a single opponent, this is a pretty handy tactic. You might even be justified to call for a relevant save to avoid the foe simply flailing around in pain because a mini-Egoist is eating away its brain. Should be an opposed DEX check to resist the infiltration once you enter the foe's space, which probably also provokes an attack of oportunity. Also an opposed check to expel you from the target's lungs, if that's where you are headed. Sure, it has some risks, but once you get in em and start burrowing merrily about- they're pretty much boned. So... comments?
