Mind's Eye Article: Knife To The Soul [Archive] - Wizards Community

The Mind's Eye PHB II-style enhancement neglects the soulknife's Knife To The Soul ability for its Bonus Feat option. Any ideas? Canon rulings from WotC_Mark?

03-05-07, 01:06 AM Well obviously a soulknife using this variant can still use his Knife To The Soul class feature. Every time he does, he can choose to sacrifice a number of his bonus feats to deal Int/Wis/Cha damage equal to the number of bonus feats sacrificed. That's one of the great weaknesses of this variant. He can only use the Knife To The Soul a limited number of times before he has to pony up for a Psychic Reformation.

Seriously though, they probably just forgot to mention that the Knife To The Soul ability is lost as well. I guess you could give them another bonus feat at that level, but it would break the nice feat-per-4-levels rythm they had going.

03-05-07, 06:29 AM This was why I am hesitating using the Feat for Psychic Strike, while the feats would be great...Knife to the Soul is one of the better class abilities I feel and adds to the overall flavor of the class.
