| Wotc_Mark08-24-07, 03:58 AM | Well as you may have guessed the Mind's Eye series of articles has come to an end with the announcement of 4th Edition. It was definately a fun roller coaster ride over the past several years. I have received a few questions that I am going to try and answer. Q: Will there be any more 3.5 D&D Mind's Eye articles? A: Nope... Q: Didn't you say you had articles through November? A: I may have said that back in the spring however we ended up combining several articles (such as the monster one in July) and don't have anything left in the que. Q: Will the Mind's Eye ever return? A: I don't know... I wish I had a better answer for this one.. sorry Q: Where are the Mind's Eye archives? A: The index file that build the D&D site is too large for the volume we are currently experiencing so it is currently offline. However the articles are there and can be found by using the site search or google. I expect that it will come back online soon. UPDATE: The archives (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/psi) should be working now. Q: Will you answer questions about past mind's eye articles. A: I have been slammed with the 4e site launch but I will stop by the boards and try as often as time permits. --MJ  |
| AskaniPsion08-24-07, 07:04 AM | Q: Will there be any more 3.5 D&D Mind's Eye articles? A: Nope... Ugg what horrible news to get before I even had my morning coffee :( But I want to thank you Mark for a great ride.....without you we wouldn't have had Mind's Eye. Me personally I won't buy 4th Edition until the Psionic rules are sold. But from what I read, 4th edition sounds cool. Thanks again Mark for all that you do!! :) |
| Bacris08-24-07, 07:18 AM | Dang, this is the saddest thing I've heard since 4E was announced... I've been using Mind's Eye since Getting Wired for my 3.0 (ew) psion! Thanks for the great articles, Mark :) |
| Amaril08-24-07, 08:49 AM | The last time Mind's Eye came to a close, you compiled a single file for all of the articles. Any chance you might be able to do the same for all of the 3.5 material? |
| Calain8008-24-07, 09:05 AM | It is sad to hear this. :( The Mind's Eye was / is a great ressouce! I hope the dndInsider will at least come close to what Mind's Eye was. Thanks for all your work! 3.5 Psionics would not be as good without it! |
| RavinRay08-24-07, 09:21 AM | Q: Will the Mind's Eye ever return? A: I don't know... I wish I had a better answer for this one.. sorry I'm guessing it will… and maybe under a different name. Q: Where are the Mind's Eye archives? A: The index file that build the D&D site is too large for the volume we are currently experiencing so it is currently offline. However the articles are there and can be found by using the site search or google. I expect that it will come back online soon. Guys as a workaround, search the yearly archives at the URL shadow.wizards.com: http://shadow.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/2001 http://shadow.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/2002 http://shadow.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/2003 http://shadow.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/2004 Only the 2005 and 2006 archives are empty. Q: Will you answer questions about past mind's eye articles. A: I have been slammed with the 4e site launch but I will stop by the boards and try as often as time permits. And aside from your web site maintenance work I hope you and Scott are playtesting 4E psionics with Bruce. You've given us all so much, Mark. |
| SlanderPanic08-24-07, 01:35 PM | Thank you for all the hard work, Mark! You're a champion and I know we're all proud to have you here. I, personally, think it's fitting that the last several Mind's Eye articles are some of the finest. Here's hoping it'll be reborn by this time next year or maybe a little later. ;) Regardless, you know you're always welcome here. Maybe you'll even get to game with some of us over a virtual game table. |
| awaken_D_M_golem08-24-07, 03:25 PM | Congrats on all of the good work you've done over the years. And BRAVO for Spell to Power. Making all 1st thru 8th level spells to be powers is a great way to make ... all 1st thru 8th level spells to be broken ;) . |
| Bukowski08-24-07, 03:46 PM | Thank you for everything that Mind's Eye has brought to our gaming tables... it has been a highly appreciated resource. :) |
| Jaid08-24-07, 10:16 PM | The last time Mind's Eye came to a close, you compiled a single file for all of the articles. Any chance you might be able to do the same for all of the 3.5 material? i would also like to request this... it would be extremely convenient. |
| Oblivionsfate08-24-07, 11:21 PM | Could some one Post a link to the Spells to Power article that was mentioned earlier? I can't seem to find it. That would be very helpful and apreciated. Thank you. |
| Tiarn08-24-07, 11:28 PM | It's here (http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20070629a), toward the bottom within the erudite class. And let me add my thanks to the many that have already appeared. Mind's Eye has been one of my favorite (if not the favorite) articles here at wizards.com. The expansion you have brought to my favorite aspect of D&D is simply awesome. Thanks. |
| pascalnz08-26-07, 01:53 AM | thanks, you've been great, jsut had to add it :p |
| angellis_ater08-26-07, 03:34 AM | Thanks for it all Mark and thankyou to all those who participated in The Minds Eye by helping write articles. I would really love to see a compilation too! |
| The Livewire08-26-07, 01:11 PM | Thank you much for all the hard work. Wish i could have done more. Mark, any chance TPTB would be willing to make any of it open content? I'd like to use the psychic rogue and share him :D |
| Amaril08-26-07, 01:13 PM | Thank you much for all the hard work. Wish i could have done more. Mark, any chance TPTB would be willing to make any of it open content? I'd like to use the psychic rogue and share him :D You can share the psychic rogue as is. You just can't publish material using that content. :) |
| The Livewire08-27-07, 07:11 PM | You can share the psychic rogue as is. You just can't publish material using that content. :) Quibble. I meant i'd like to use it in a module to put up and e-publish (well, really, let people DL it) |
| Xaxor08-27-07, 08:39 PM | Thank you Mark. Thank you very much. The Mind's Eye is part of the reason I got into Psionics in the first place. It's going to be pretty lonely without more psionics support now, outside of Dreamscarred Press. I really hope they crank out a new Psionics system pretty quick in 4th Edition. |
