Besides the Expanded Psionics Handbook, and the SRD, is there any other source of info on the "Special Forging Process" mentioned below:
Crystal, Mundane: Mundane crystal can be used in place of metal in weapons or armor, using a special forging process. The fortified crystal possesses the properties of a similar masterwork steel weapon or armor, except for visual appearance.
Weapons and armor made of mundane crystal cost the same amount to make as their masterwork counterparts. Any item could potentially be made with mundane crystal. Because mundane crystal armor is considered to be made out of metal, druids cannot wear it.
Mundane crystal properly forged has 25 hit points per inch of thickness and a hardness of 8. Should a player want to craft their own Crystal item, how would one go about it?

Also, could the Wall of Stone spell conceivable provide raw materials for this?

I'm interested in additional material for both Flavor Text and Game Mechanics...

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mundane crystal is considered metal, rather than stone. A modified Wall of Iron spell could do it, rather than a Wall of Stone. I'd suggest a quest of some sort, or some roleplaying to get the necessary crystalline substance.

Thanks Lycanthromancer!

I would suggest that the "Mundane Crystal" is only equivalent to metal *after* the special forging process.

After which, the crytsal becomes "Fortified Crystal" as per the flavor text.

Because the flavor text states: "Weapons and armor made of mundane crystal cost the same amount to make as their masterwork counterparts", I would guess that the raw material which is fortified in the special forging process must be cheap....

The raw materials for Armor would cost not more than 50gp (150gp for masterwork armor divided by 3).

The raw materials for Weapons would cost not more than 100gp (300gp for masterwork weapons divided by 3).

For that much material to cost soo little, I would guess that it would not be Precious or even Semi-Precious rocks (ok, no gollum/smeagol jokes please!).

Rather, I would suggest that the raw material be a variety of common Quartz.

Still, it is a type of Rock... but for my game, I think that I'd rule that the material must be a crystal found in nature to be "psychically resonant".

Would you suggest any Game Mechanics for the special forging process?

I wouldn't do anything special. If you really want, maybe something like a knowledge(psionics) check, at half the DC required to craft the item.
