Thot 10-15-07, 09:31 AM	After reading some post on this forum*, an idea has begun to grow in my mind. How to be more efficient as a Psion, with less hassle ? Hopefully, this is an answer : Metapsionic Flexibility [Metapsionic] : When you manifest a power modified with a metapsionic feat, you're not bound by the standard benefit. You can choose to manifest either a weaker, or stronger version of the metapsionic feat. Benefit : When you manifest a power modified with a metapsionic feat, you now have three options : 1) Manifest it spending only half the regular metapsionic power point adjustment cost, but for a halved metapsionic effect. 2) Manifest it spending the regular metapsionic power point adjustment cost, for the standard metapsionic effect. 3) Manifest it spending twice the regular metapsionic power point adjustment cost, but for a stronger metapsionic effect. Whatever your choice, the power’s total cost cannot exceed your manifester level. The options as are follow : Metapsionic power Effect for half pp Effect for twice the pp Burrowing Power ?? ?? Chain Power Secondary targets number = 1/2 ML Secondary targets = 2*ML Delay Power 2 rounds duration at most 10 rounds at most Empower Power Variables increase by 25% Variables increase by 100% Enlarge Power - Range increase by 200% Extend Power Duration increase by 50% Duration increase by 200% Maximize Power Variables are fixed at 75%. Variables are fixed at 125% Opportunity Power Manifesting is a swift action range does not have to be 'touch' Quicken Power Manifest power as a move action Manifest power as an immediate action Split Psionic Ray Each target takes half damage 4 targets, each taking full damage Twin Power ?? Power takes effects thrice Unconditional Power Overcome only stunned and confused Overcome cowering, dying, petrified Widen Power Numeric measurements increase by 50% Numeric measurements increase by 200% Example : Yoris the Shaper is 6th level, and has both Extend Power and Metapsionic Flexibility. When he manifests Astral Construct, he can only create a 3rd level AC, for 5pp. Now, he can choose to manifest it with a halved extended duration, for a total of 6pp (5pp for base power, 1 for a lesser extension) and a psionic focus. His AC now has a duration of 9 rounds (6 base + 3 for lesser extend). So, how do you like it ? Some benefits are obvious, some others are probably off-mark and could be bettered. TheKeyofE 10-15-07, 12:38 PM	It could work. Seems balanced enough to me. I don't think I would ever use it, though. Metapsionics are already pretty flexible without this. One minor nitpick, add Prerequisite: Any Metapsionic feat. It's almost a no-brainer, since you'd need a metapsionic feat to use this feat, anyway.
