Prerequisite Wis 13, Concentration 7 ranks, Psionic Meditation. Benefit As long as you are psionically focused, you can maintain a concentration power (such as control body) with a swift action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Normal Concentrating to maintain a power is a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. I don't know what to call it, but this is definitely a cool idea IMO.

hogarth 03-15-08, 12:03 PM	There's a feat that does the same thing: Extraordinary Concentration from Complete Adventurer. But it's not as good (DC 25+spell level check to concentrate as a move action, DC 35+spell level to concentrate as a swift action) and it requires 15 ranks in Concentration. So your proposed feat is incredibly cheap compared to the published one.
Psionx 03-15-08, 04:58 PM	I figured that had to be the case with the lack of replies. Mebbe an epic feat that allows you to concentrate on one without expending any actions... that would be cool but I think it would have to be high level...
InkBlot 03-16-08, 03:35 PM	I like the idea. It's similar to Extraordinary Concentration, but uniquely psionic due to the way it involves psionic focus. If you want to make it on par with Extraordinary Concentration, just up the prereqs and make concentrating a move action. Having to abstain from using any metapsionics is a big price to pay, so not having to make checks is fine as compensation. Maybe also make a note in the feat that it doesn't allow you to bypass normal duration limits (some powers have durations of "concentration, up to x rounds/level" or "... up to x min/level"). Also, neither of these feats allow you to manifest a new power while concentrating on your old one. Doing so always interrupts your concentration, even if it was an immediate action power. If it was your intent to bypass that limitation, then this feat would need a big overhaul and my just be epic anyway.

Lycanthromancer 03-16-08, 10:38 PM	Just make it a feat tree. If you use this one as a prereq, the second feat need not be epic, because you're spending more resources (feats) to get the benefit.
Psionx 03-16-08, 11:23 PM	Very good idea, but I wonder how high it would have to go. Although I should remind you that I have yet to actually play D&D outside of that 1 D&D day experience. Groups are so hard to find in my area (and I'm a procrastinator). Thanks anyway. EDIT: Doesn't psionic meditation count? 2nd EDIT: Would making it so that it would just allow you to use 2 concentration powers be non-epic? Cuz its kinda specific that way. /clearly the higher powers of the psionics board have glanced upon my thread
