I've seen this in more than one anime, that the mind or telekinesis did cut through the bodies of foes like invisible wires or the likes. And a very old Mayfair supplement (Psionics) had a power called "cleaver". I redid it, based on Mage's sword, and added some psionic flavor. Please comment.

Cleaver (A)

Telekinesis (Force)
Level: Psi/Wil 6
Range: Medium (100ft + 10ft/level)
Effect: One cleaver of force
Display: audible (slashing sounds)
Duration: Concentration (max. 1 Rd/level)
Saving Throw : none
Power Resistance : No
Power Points: 11

“I have a keen mind. Literally.”

This power creates an invisible hovering blade of force, which is under the control of the manifester. The blade can be directed by the manifester with a standard action to attack any target he sees (or perceives otherwise) once a round, starting in the round of the creation of the blade. The attack bonus is equal to the manifester level + the manifesting ability score bonus (INT for psions, CHA for wilders). As a force effect, it can strike etheral and incorporeal creatures. It deals 2d8 plus the manifesting ability score bonus points of force damage, with a threat range of 19-20 and a critical multiplier of ×2.

Each round after the first, you can use a move action to switch the cleaver to a new target. You may use a full-round action to do full attacks with the blade. You get the following number of attacks, depending on your manifester level:

should you be able to manifest it before 11th: 2 attacks
ML 11-15: 3 attacks
ML 16+: 4 attacks

The cleaver always strikes from your direction. It does not get a bonus for flanking and does not help a combatant to get one. The blade is invisible, so the target is denied the DEX-bonus to AC, if any. If you may deal sneak damage, the cleaver delivers it, if you are within 30 feet of the target. It cannot take attacks of opportunity, and does not threaten areas.

If the cleaver goes beyond the maximum range from you, if it goes out of your sight, or if you case concentrating on it, the blade dissipates.

The cleaver cannot be attacked or harmed by physical attacks, but dispel psionics, psionic disintegrate, a sphere of annihilation, or a rod of cancellation affects it. The cleaver’s AC is 10, + the manifesting ability score bonus as a defelction bonus, plus being invisible.

If an attacked creature has power resistance, the resistance is checked the first time cleaver strikes it. If the cleaver is successfully resisted, that target has an unbeatable AC for the cleaver, and the cleaver loses 1d8 of its base damage for the rest of the duration. If not, the cleaver has its normal full effect on that creature for the duration of the power.

Augmentation: You may augment the power in one or both of the following ways:

* If you pay two additional pp, the cleaver does not dissipate if you cease to concentrate. It hovers at the spot is was last used. To resume concentration, you need to spend a move-equivalent action.

* For every additional two points you spend, the base damage of the blade increases by +1d8.

Special: When you succeed with an attack roll, which is a possible critical hit, you may automatically confirm the critical hit by expending your psionic focus.
