all these new books that come out have new spells and prestige classes and new feats, but none psionically specific. now i don't wanna pay buttloads more for psionic specific material, but i'd like books like complete warrior and other fighting class books to include psychic warrior stuff, and similar things in other books.

You're preaching to the choir, here. But I do have good news, my fellow psi-fan! You don't have to spend buttloads more for psionic specific material. In fact, you can't! Because there isn't any! Complete Psionics is all we got, and it ain't all that hot.

Now, if you're not looking for WotC books, you might find a few more interesting tid bits. Tid bits available in a handy PDF format, at low low prices. Google for 3rd party supplements called "hyperconcious" and "untapped potential." Also, check out WotC's web-enhancement, The Mind's Eye (the whole WotC website is a little broken right now, but it's there). If those don't sate your thirst, go up to the Master Index at the top of this very forum. In that thread, you will find a link to an Index of All 3.5 Psionics Outside of the XPH.

Happy hunting, fellow psifan.

Well, I'm of the opinion that psionics is good as it is. This may be one reason why Complete Psionic was so poorly received. There are very few roles that can't be done with psionics, and very few characters that can't be done with psionics (see the Truenaming Psionics thread), which indicates how exceedingly comprehensive it is. The only other product I've seen cover everything so well is D20 Future.

Now, when it comes to "new psionic material", what are you looking for? Sure, it's nice to see an unprecedented stroke of genius like the scout from Complete Adventurer, but gems like that are few and far between, and you can't fill a whole book with them. As for making psionics do more, any general concept you can't make fit with the core psionics rules can easily be remedied with a few homebrewed powers or feats.

I hesitate to say this, but psionics is about as perfect as it gets (and I'm not saying the XPH is a perfect book). It's hard to improve on.

Of course, this is a moot point with 4e around the corner. Apparently Vancian casting is going out the window, which may make the whole concept of 3.5 psionics (a non-Vancian casting system that's still compatible with Vancian casting) obsolete. From what I'm hearing, what's left of the psion and its variants could be covered by adding a handful of abilities to a list on the wizard's class description.

Unless someone comes up with a hypothetical Tome of Psionics that describes three new psionic subsystems, say subpsionics, psionics and ki, and something else. Then there's a hypothetical Dragon Psionics, but that's just providing gem dragon equivalents for all the chromatic- and metallic-related goodies crammed into Dragon Magic.
