| Roland_of_the_Eld08-19-07, 08:22 PM | I'm sure that this has been addressed many times, but why aren't there any base psionic classes with full BAB? Is there any errata addressing this? The Psychic Warrior, Divine Mind and Soulknife all deserve it. The first two are basically psionic versions of the Duskblade and Paladin, and the Soulknife doesn't even use any powers. So what gives? |

The soulknife got a remake in Untapped Potential without and increase in base attack bonus. The divine mind deserves either a complete overhaul or to be buried and forgotten about. |

There's no mistake -- no WotC psionic classes have full base attack. The psychic warrior doesn't need it; if anything it needs more power points (but even that isn't strictly necessary. It's a WONDERFUL class). The divine mind probably did (hell, With Class said they *have* it... but it was mostly copypasta from the paladin), but won't get support because it's psionic. Thus, it's worth forgetting about. The soulknife needs a fix but full base attack isn't the way to go with it. Incidentally, there's a full-base attack psionic manifester and a variant soulknife that's worth playing in Untapped Potential. See the FAQ at the top of the forum. |
| Asadeseth08-20-07, 12:11 AM | Actualy their neads to be 2 kinds of Soulknife classes, the Soulblade, a full BAB class, and the Soulknife the more rouge/skermisher type. Tempest Stormwind is right about the PsyWar though, just realy neads a few more PP if anything. The Divine Mind realy just nead not have been written. |
| Slagger the Chuul08-20-07, 01:31 AM | The Divine Mind realy just nead not have been written. It needs a better name than "Divine Mind" for a start; that's a prestige class sort of name. |

There is also more options available for Soulknives in another Dreamscarred Press sourcebook. Contains 4 variants, one with full BAB. I just got it last week and I already have a player drooling over the Two Weapon variant. Interesting feats too. |

There's a new book from dreamscarred press which actually has 3 variants on soulknife. One of them is the soulblade you want, though its called something else. |
| Callix08-28-07, 06:33 PM | Slayer (Illithid Slayer in XPH) is a 9/10 manifesting, full BAB prestige class, and the requirements for the SRD version are very doable. Psywar 10/Slayer 10 has +17 BAB and ML 19, while Ranger 1/Psion 6/Slayer 10 is sitting on +14 BAB and ML 15, with 3 levels to play with. If we can get 3 levels of 3/4 or better BAB and 2/3 manifesting or better from a PrC, we have ML 17 and BAB 16, lower limits for successful melee/casters. Elocater 3 would work, and gives you Scorn Earth. So "Psi-Gish" is completely doable, even without a full-BAB full-manifester. |
