Note on Psy. Knowledge (Apr. Mind's Eye) [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-19-07, 04:22 AM Interesting thing I noticed while reading the April Mind's Eye on the Seer's alternative class feature granting "bardic" knowledge:

"You gain the psionic equivalent of bardic knowledge. It functions just like a bard's class ability, except you use your manifester level in place of bardic level."

Should this actually be "class level?" Or is it an interesting property that allows you to multi-class freely out of Seer and still maintain your Bardic Knowledge? If such things are important to you...

My vote would be on "... except you use your psion level in place or bardic level ...". If only to contain what little consistency is left in DnD. :P

05-19-07, 02:26 PM "Manifester level" in that ability refers to your psion manifester levels. So, besides your actual psion levels, only Practiced Manifester and PrCs that give you "+1 Level Of An Existing Manifesting Class" would add to it. I don't see what's so bad about that.

I don't see anything wrong with it either, since there would be no alternative to Seer 20 if you cared about upping your Bardic Knowledge. But it is a rules difference compared to how they handle BK for other classes and therefore note worthy.

And Practiced Manifester becomes even more essential as a feat...ups your ML AND your BK.
