I thought i'd pick the community's collective brain.

In one of the 3.0(or 3.5) Psy books there was a Psychoactive Skin that allowed for the Metamorphosis power. If I remember correctly, it was continously active and cost around 200k.

After looking through the new PS's in the Magic Compendium, it would appear as though that particular Skin has been omitted.

I know the rule of "if it's not updated, it's OK" but do you treat this sort of thing as an omission, or a deletion?
(that is, did they not comment- making it valid.. or did they delete it, making it invalid?)

Your $.02 is appreciated :) thanks.

Skin Of The Proteus? It's in the Expanded Psionics Handbook (which is the 3.5 update to the Psionics Handbook), on page 176. It costs 84,000gp.

The Magic Item Compendium can't possibly include every magic item ever published in one of WotC's books. Anything published in a 3.5 book is considered "OK" even if it wasn't reprinted in The Magic Item Compendium.
