I will soon be turning level four, and don't know what powers to get...

I already have:
lvl 1
Skate
Minor Creation
Crystal Shard

lvl2
Astral Construct
Force Screen (I would normally get interial armor, but I have mithyral chain shirt , already four armor and it don't stack)

lvl3
Energy Push
Damp Power

I already, in my opinion have enough combat spells, crystal shard, energy push, and astral construct. So I don't need any blasting powers unless you point out an amazing one. we're right now stranded on an isthmus dark forest place, I don't need food, being and Elan, so no sustenance. I was thinking of getting synesthete just for later in the game, and endure elements... or the know direction power. I realize that I don't have detect Psionics, but we play psionic magic transparency and we have a warlock w/ infinite detect magic. what powers should I get for fourth level? thanks

For the love of God (or lack thereof), use proper English, especially when starting a new thread. It's not an instant-message program or a chatroom; there is no need to rush. In fact, until your thread is posted, no one knows that you are actually asking anything! Take the time to press two extra keys to type "you" and the three extra keys to type "thanks" and people will appreciate you far more.

For instance, I can't follow what you mean by "isthmus". It's a nonsense word as far as I can tell, but it might be a critical adjective that influences our answers.

That said,

1) What discipline are you? (I'm assuming shaper from your power selection, but it's something you want to specify.)
2) Do you have a goal in mind? I.e. a particular prestige class, what level the party might eventually get to (Some powers are great at low levels but worthless later on), and so on?
3) What is the rest of your party makeup? (I note you mention a warlock; that's nice, it means that blasting endurance or Detect Magic isn't the way to go, but it does mean that your party lacks the party support options a more team-oriented class would provide.)
4) What books are allowed? (I note you have Damp Power and mention Endure Elements, so I'm assuming the Expanded Psionics Handbook and Complete Psionic. Any others?)
5) What sort of opponents are you facing, if the campaign has a common opponent focus?

I would look into Detect Hostile Intent, any of the Precognition powers (in particular Defensive Precognition), Entangling Ectoplasm, Ego Whip, Id Insinuation, Mental Disruption, Specified Energy Adaptation, Control Sound, Share Pain, or Vigor.

Without more information about you, your party, and your campaign, that's about as specific as I can get.

A few to consider:

Levitiation: Fly's little cousin, is good for getting up high to look around the land you're in, if you're needing a little navigation. Even better for getting up and out of range of them pesky foes that are always trying to cut your head off.

Detect Hostile Intent: if you're in a strange place, and expecting ambush, this can save your bacon over and over again.

Dimension Door: the ubiquitously versatile power for being where you need to be, when you need to be there.

Death Urge: an awesome power for when you come up against one (or a few) big damage-dealers; one failed Will save -- which ain't too difficult given the average big damage-dealing type's Will save vs. your power DC -- and that big damage-dealer is dealing all that big damage to themselves.

Psychoportive Shelter: once you're at 8th level, you can augment this to a full 8 hours' blissful sleep. The ultimate camping experience, especially useful when you're out in the wild.

Ok sorry for the quick typing, I usually leave better posts, but I was rushed at the time... I probably should have posted the thread when I had more time...

as for isthmus, I don't mean to be cruel but learn 7th grade geography (again sorry if you haven't been in 7th grade yet yadda yadaa yadda)

From Dictionary.com

"isth·mus /ˈɪsməs/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[is-muhs] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun, plural -mus·es, -mi /-maɪ/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[-mahy] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation.
1. a narrow strip of land, bordered on both sides by water, connecting two larger bodies of land."

yes, I'm a shaper... thought I mentioned that... sorry for the bad post, but isthmus is a word.

Forgive me for studying physics, mathematics, computer science and engineering instead of memorizing the many odd words geologists and geographers use for obscenely simple things -- often without even agreeing on what it is (get two geologists in the same room and ask them what the difference between "silt" and "sand" is, for instance. You may need a few Ziploc bags to carry the remains out when the fight's over). I bet I could pull out even more obscure terms from my fields of study that were more applicable to your situation, but I won't, because that would be off-topic.

I'd call what you're on a "land bridge" -- and I'd also call it nonessential information, especially compared to what you didn't include in your second post after I asked about it after your first one. Specifically, questions 2 through 5.

Okay, guys. Keep your cool. It's not like this is a PSIONICS IS OVERPOWERED! thread or anything.

TS, I definitely appreciate all that you contribute to this forum, but I'd like to request that you ease off the remarks on other people's language skills. If a post is incomprehensible (not implying that the OP's was), then it's perfectly appropriate to request a clarification, but otherwise I think we should try to accommodate everyone as much as possible without making people feel that perfect spelling and grammar are required to participate in this forum. Exactly as you say, people come from all sorts of backgrounds.

Nevermind, what was here before was due to my apparent inability to read properly. :embarrass

As has been said above Detect Hostile Intent is a very useful power.

I've always been fond of Body Equilibrium (there's not much cooler than walking on water :D) and Control Sounds can be really useful at times.

Ok I finally have enough time to write a decent post.

1. Yeah, I'm a shaper
2. No I plan on straight psion, my DM says that we'll probably go up to about level 15.
3. Well we have a large party, there's me, the warlock, a cleric, a home made class... basically a rouge, a sorcerer, a sword sage, and a fighter... but he's rarely there, like one out of every four sessions so he just um... fights something on the sidelines, or something.
4. Pretty much any book OKed by the DM, I'm brand new to Psionics though, so I plan on basically staying with EXPH and the CPH
5. I'm not sure quite yet... we started out on a sub story arc, but the main deities are Dragons, so I think that something will have to do with dragons at one point or another.

Ok, good start... with the possible exception of the CPH, which is of debatable value.

I would also suggest getting "Untapped Potential" from Dreamscarred Press (http://www.dreamscarredpress.com/main/). It's available in PDF for for really cheap, and was developed by people on these forums who for reasons of modesty (or the CoC) do not push it's greatness. :D
