04-06-08, 09:21 AM Uh, well, that kind of depends on exactly what you're looking to do. The Soulknife's (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/classes/soulknife.htm) key class feature is forming a blade out of pure mental energy.

The Psychic Warrior (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/classes/psychicWarrior.htm) has an alternative class feature (Found here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20070214a)) that lets them do what a Soulknife can do better.

The variant for the PsyWar is based on the Call Weaponry power (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/callWeaponry.htm), which technically just yoinks a random weapon, but could be reflavored as needed.

I am looking for something that can be placed on a physical weapon. Like defending or brilliant energy.

Is there something like that out there at all?

I could swear that I have seen in it in one book or another but I cannot recall or am I mistaken?

04-06-08, 10:07 AM I figured you meant something like that. while I don't have access to the whole library of supplements, I do have both psionic books, and neither them have what you're looking for. I don't know where to direct you from here, or if your enhancement even exists. Sorry.

So far as I know, there is no enhancement that does that, though I could have missed it. You might be thinking of a 3.0 material--ferroplasm, I think--that, when made into a weapon, deforms into ectoplasmic nothingness until a psionic character picks it up, at which point it turns back into the weapon.

If all you want is a psionic version of the brilliant energy enhancement, you can probably make that with a power of some sort under transparency, but like I said I don't think there's a specifically psionic version of that.

Re: Dreamscarred Press--It's a good resource, but it's not WotC material; if the "anywhere at all" comment includes 3rd party books, by all means go for it, but if it's "any WotC book" you're probably out of luck.

Psi-Blade:

A psi-blade has it's blade transformed into pure psionic energy. It gives of light as a torch (20-foot radius). A psi-blade strikes directly at a creatures mind and spirit ignoring all armor, including enhancement and natural armor bonuses to AC because the weapon passes right through the armor. (Dexterity, deflection, dodge, and other such bonuses still apply.) A psi-blade can also strike incorporeal creatures as if they were solid and can be picked up by and used by incorporeal creatures. A psi-blade has no effect against any target without a constitution score, including constructs, undead and objects. It passes harmlessly through such targets.

Manifester level 16th; Prerequesites: Craft psionic arms and armor, ethereal jaunt, metaphysical weapon; Market price +5 bonus.

That is the Psi-blade I was looking for.

I was wondering though what could make it an effective light saber-esque weapon?
