The feat Master Dorje allows you to do this. While it existed in the 3.0 handbook, for 3.5 it would be a direct conversion of the epic level Master Wand found in Complete Arcane and the Epic Level Handbook.

While there might be times you think to yourself, "Damn, I wish I still had that psicrown of the gossamer assailant," your party will find some other way past whatever obstacle or opponent you're up against.

Power's just another one of those things, baby; It's pointless if you ain't ever gonna use it.

Yes, but remember that psions don't have half the spell availability of wizards, that dorje just became expanded knowledge.
750g for a level one power that doesn't need much augmentation (say, shield) is pretty cheap come L5.

04-04-07, 01:06 PM You could create psionic versions of rune staves (MIC). The rules are there, it would just be up to the DM to design the theme for each staff.

But the items in question here use charges rather than power points. As SlanderPanic points out, these items exist to spare your personal pool, not to give you more options for spending it. And the way items are priced in the current version of the game there is absolutely no reason to hoard charges. If you have a dorje then blast away, the loot and XP you gain by using the item to overcome challenges, plus the chance that your next dorje will be recovered from the body of your next victim, more than make up for the charges spend. Also, because the DC of an offensive power in an item is fixed, the dorje that serves you well now may be a joke in a few levels, so don't go out of your way to keep it around.
