Psicrystal Destroyed, How do you get it back? [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-22-07, 12:32 PM I cannot seem to find in the EPH any reference to what happens to the ower when it is destroyed or how the owner can create another one.

Can anyone point me to where these rules are?

05-22-07, 12:38 PM Short answer: you won't find the rules in the Expanded Psionics Handbook or Complete Psionic. WotC has not written any such rules.

Untapped Potential has a rule for it, but as far as I'm aware, that's the only published rule and it's 3rd party, not WotC.

PSICRYSTAL AFFINITY [Psionic]
This feat originally appeared in the Expanded Psionics Handbook. It is expanded here.
Prerequisite: Manifester level 1st.
Benefit: As in the Expanded Psionics Handbook.
Special: If your psicrystal is destroyed, you may create a replacement (or restore the pieces of the old one, there is no mechanical difference) after 24 hours have passed by spending 100 XP. The new psicrystal has the same personality type as the lost one originally did (although it may look different), and any feats or features that modify your psicrystal affect the new one normally.

05-22-07, 04:06 PM I rerember, there was a response (unfortunately don't remeber where, custserv perhaps?), that the psion can just create another one as a some action. Standard, full-round, or something like that.

05-22-07, 04:13 PM The Untapped one sounds fair to me, although I personally might drop the XP cost. It doesn't cost anything to create one, so why to get it back? But that's just my opinion, and like I said before, the UP idea sounds good. You could use that, or check through the FAQ at the top, or look for custserv's old answer, or talk with your DM about it. Those are your options, take 'em or leave 'em.
