I brought this up in the equipment forum, but only as a sidenote on another post:

can you make a weapon with your psicrystal?
if so, can it deliver touch attacks?
if not, can it deliver them with feat that resolves melee attacks as touch attacks?

can you make a weapon with your psicrystal? No, they're creatures. Unless you can cut an earth elemental into a club...

See the FAQ at the top of the forum, though, for a link to the Psychic Weapon Master. It turns a crystal weapon into a mini-psicrystal.

I'm trying to figure out how to make my weapon float beside me outside of battle, and deliver touch attacks/store focus/store PP inside battle.

:plotting:

Well, you could use the Psicrystal Weapon feat as offered on the Psionics Boards, here. (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=701804)

...or you could look into the Psicrystal Weapon feat listed with the other alternate Psicrystals in the new source, "High Psionics: Psicrystals Expanded", by Dreamscarred Press, Here (http://dreamscarredpress.com/main/index.php?page=shop.product_details&category_id=1&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=8&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=29&vmcchk=1)

I prefer the former for my Nomad, but your milage may vary.....

As for delivering touch attacks, there's no way I know of to do that -- but why would you want to? Hitting a touch AC is always at least as easy as hitting their normal AC, and is usually easier. If you just want to touch them with your weapon, describe it as that, even though it's still technically a touch attack from you.

alright i think i got it figured out.

Psychic weapon master gives me the cognizance/containment i needed, and soulbound weapon (from the Mind's Eye article) lets me summon my weapon.

but now a new question arises:
soulbound weapon says:
automatically gains a weapon enhancement at the following levels:
4th +1 weapon
8th +2 weapon
12th +3 weapon
16th +4 weapon
20th +5 weapon

If it works the way i think it would, progression is as follows:
CL 4 (PW 4)=+1 weapon
CL 8 (PW 8)=+2 weapon
CL 11 (PWM 1) +1 enhancement
CL 12 (PWM 2) +3 weapon, +2 enhancement
CL 13 (PWM 3) +3 enhancement, sightlink
CL 14 (PWM 4) +4 enhancement
CL 15 (PWM 5) +5 enhancement, containment
CL 16 (PWM 6) +4 weapon
CL 20 (PWM 10) +5 weapon

^this is what i got from overlapping the two tables, and replacing the +1 through +5 weapon enhancements from PWM with the soulbound weapon enhancements.

The good part: you can start putting enhancements on the weapon immediately after you become a PWM

the bad part: you progression for the weapon bonus itself is SLOW :(

In short: you dont burn the xp for 1-5, but you do have to wait a heck of a lot longer for the +5

Forgot to mention, for those who don't like to wait:
soulbound weapon adds the following to call weapon
Augmentation: When you manifest your soulbound weapon, for each additional 5 power points you spend, you may add a weapon enhancement of +1 value to the weapon. For example, if you spend an additional 10 power points, you could add two +1 weapon enhancements or a single +2 weapon enhancement.

Unless you got a couple of house rules the soulbound weapon won't stack with the PWM ability or special materials. Reason being is that the soulbound duration doesn't last long enough for the PWM to perform the ritual at each level. Also Soulbound weapons can't be summoned with special materials.

The soulbound weapon enhancement bonus is based on Psywarrior level not character level. Though I would like to see an additional augment to either the soulbound weapon ability or call weaponry to include special materials.

I gave it some thought, and decided that thundering/icy burst/shocking burst would be a good idea.

+1 bonus for +5d8 sonic damage? count me in!
+2 bonus for +5d10 cold damage? count me in!
+2 bonus for +5d10 Electricity damage? count me in!

average +70 damage on a crit.

before anyone brings it up, i know there are a lot of immune creatures out there.

Um, that assumes you are criticaling all the time.

otherwise:
Thundering (+0 Damage)
Icy Burst (+1d6 Damage, average ~3)
Shocking Burst (+1d6 Damage, average ~3)

so your +5 weapon does ~6 extra points of damage 95% of the time... that's not great. Also are you taking into account that in order to have an enchantment on a weapon the weapon MUST have an enhancement of at least +1? ...also are you proficient with a Scythe, remember it is a Martial weapon.

Base:
Scythe
2d4 ×4

My +5 version would be:
Scythe +1, Keen(+1), Psychokinetic(+1), Collision(+2)
3d4+6 19-20/×4

I would threaten a Crit 10% of the time for ~69 pts of Damage max, and the rest of the time max out at ~22 pts per hit....Did I mention that Psychokinetic by passes DR?

the weapon is being used by a PW/PWM, so proficiency is not an issue.

special masterwork raises crit rang to 19/20
PWM special ability raises it to 16/20 (special improved crit)

oh, it's a x6 crit with this character, using 5d for the burst effects instead of 3d from normal scythe.

sooo...my version:

Base damage 2d4
shock 1d6
psychokinetic 1d4
shock crit 5d10
psych crit 5d6
sonic crit 5d8 +deafen.
crit range: 16/20 x6
