03-05-07, 03:02 AM I have two questions about Psiforged, or more specifically making new ones.

Is there any material in any books anywhere that indicates how to undertake constructing a psiforged, and how much materials it would cost (depending on the base model?).

Alternatively, I am aware that in Magic of Eberron there is an arcane prestige class that allows a person to become a Warforged. Is there a feasable way to convert this class into a psionic class that turns the person into a psiforged?

I have a psionic character with too much ambition for his own good. So any help would be appreciated.

You need a Greater Mark of Making, a Creation forge, and a lot of Mythril, Darkwood, Adamatium, and Deep Crystal.

If you Use the psionic artificer from the same book then yes. Just replace Craft Magic Weapons with craft psionic weapons, and Craft wondrous with Craft Universal.

Give it manifesting progression.

Change self-repair to heal 1d6 for 1 pp , augment to add 1d6 for every 2 more pp spent.

03-05-07, 03:45 PM The only way to create any kind of warforged, including a psiforged, is with a Creation Forge. Creation Forges are 1) completely banned in Eberron by the Treaty Of Thronehold, and 2) have no written game rules because they are meant only to be used by the DM to further the story.

You can't make a warforged unless your DM thinks it's a cool idea and makes a special allowance for it. Even then, your DM has to come up with how the Creation Forge is operated because it isn't in any book.

03-05-07, 04:11 PM Secrets of Xen'drik DID list a working creation forge, but it's essentially a harnessed Wish effect (an eldritch machine).

Dealing with your other question, the renegade mastermaker can easily, EASILY become a psiforged.

You see, ALL a psiforged is... is a warforged with the Psiforged Body feat. It's not a separate race although it's done up as if it was.

Renegade mastermakers, IIRC, gain a warforged body feat at some point. Just choose Psiforged Body and BAMPH, you're a psiforged.

03-05-07, 05:09 PM Yeah, creation forges are what are called "eldritch machines" in Eberron. An eldritch machine is basically any object that's key to the plot but doesn't really need to be completely statted out. As long as you know what it does, that's fine.

So no, there is no official word on creating psiforged and it should be left up to the DM (though feel free to discuss it with him/her if you are a player).

03-06-07, 06:16 PM Tempest has the way of it, in terms of the Renegade Mastermaker becoming a psiforged. personally, for flavor reason, I would recomend the player use the psionic artificer (a variant of the Artificer that's detailed in Magic of Eberron) ranther than the standard one, but that would be at the player's and your discretion.

One thing, because it's not exactly known where the psiforged come from, or who made/makes them (Merrex d'Cannith denies having anything to do with them, and he's more or less the expert on warforged creation, and as best i remember the only one still actiivly producing warforged sence the Treaty of Thronehold) you might ask the player to take a certain number of ranks in knowledge (psionics) and/or knowledge (arcana) in order to be able to take Psioforged Body as theis bonus Warforged feat at 10th level. agiain, though, that's just flavor. All they really need to do is get the 10th level, and take the feat.
